I have facts, and I have gotten it to work. It's a bitof a pain, as it requires you to install rather outmoded systemfiles. Nothing unstable/unsecure (well, as reasonably sure as I can be), but nonetheless it's rather infuriating at times.

bottomline though, it does do what you're talking about, although it's mor of a converter and less of an editor.

yeah, AvenDragon told me about it... he said that the latest download they have on ssdownloads.com doesnt work right and when i tried it, he was right.

i was hoping this guy's level editor would be able to do something similar to what facts is supposed to do.

I havent finished my editor yet, I was just working on a test program to see how I should generally go about programming the editor. the actual editor should be finished in about a month, but I havent thought of a cool name yet, any suggestions?

EDIT: awsome, yes it will have all those crazy features I said it would.
If you want the bmp2lvl converter early, I could make you one. (it will only take my 10 minutes)

Awesome, Overburn already made a bitmap to lvl converter, and posted it on this forum, it works a treat, and I have heard that it's a lot easier to use than FACTS (I have never used FACTS)

yea, but it only supports 256 color tilesets, and it isnt very good (theres a rounding error in the encoding process that makes every 16th line not in the right place).

Ok, I just updated the old file, it should support any color size tilesets, it wont do that annoying line-screwing-up-thing, and you dont need to flip the monochrome bitmap inorder to convert it.
