  • Points race in pub?

Could points race work in pub better than time race? It could be votable between games.

Points race like there used to be in ?go base.

A race to a certain amount of points. Flag time increases the points.

Is this on a player or team basis?

The rounds are setup to have a break im-between for players to have a smoke, go for a pee whatever and taking that break away will mean its a non stop experience which will almost certainly flatline the immersive peaks you get with play/break/play.

Another issue is that the vote for this feature after a round has ended would itself eat up a lot of time, leaving limited time for this 'points race'.

On the other hand if the idea is to vote for a series of points races I can imagine players who don't enjoy constant gameplay leaving.

Ofc there would be breaks in between rounds. Race to A CERTAIN AMOUNT of points.

This might work in another game, but not in this one, so it's a no from me.

Pub isn't really set up for this. We would have to refactor a lot of things to make that work, it wouldn't be trivial.

Points races are fun though. If there is interest from the community, we could maybe do a points race in an event arena on the weekend or maybe during a weekday evening.

Yeah. I suggest ?go boki for this or maybe randomly try out different basing maps, like a few maps on the set day. There are so many maps that are forgotten.
