Hello, Trench Wars Community!

Get ready for an exciting new event! The Trench Wars Veteran Basing Cup will take place over two action-packed days spread out across one week: Wednesday, April 9th and Sunday, April 13th, 2025.
Event Overview: This will be a 2-day basing event with a round-robin format featuring 6 teams. The teams will be captained by 8 or less-rated players* from the basing division. There will be no sign-ups for this event. If you have participated in an MMRB match in the last 90 days or have signed up for one of the last 4 draft tournaments, you will automatically be on the draft sheet for selection—whether or not you can attend!

Game Format:

• All games will be a flag race to 15 minutes.
• There will be no star cap on lines.

Additional Rules:

• No trades, no appeals, and no free agency. Once drafted, you are committed to your team for the duration of the event.

Schedule:

Draft Day: Wednesday April 5th, 2025 **

Wednesday, April 9th, 2025:

• 6:00 PM EST - Game 1
• 6:45 PM EST - Game 2
• 7:15 PM EST - Game 3

Sunday, April 13th, 2025:

• 2:00 PM EST - Game 4
• 2:45 PM EST - Game 5
• 3:15 PM EST - Semifinals (Best of 1)
• 4:00 PM EST - Finals (Best of 3)

Important Notes:

• The captains and teams are set, but you will be drafted from the active player pool. If you meet the criteria, you'll be added to the draft sheet and can be selected for a team!
• If you are a top-level baser and available to play on the event dates, feel free to respond to this forum post so the captains know you'll be showing up and can prioritize drafting you. This helps ensure the captains can select the best players for their teams.
• The event is set to bring out the best in basing and offer some intense, competitive matches.
• Make sure to be around and ready to play when your team is called!

This is going to be an exciting event with great competition! I hope to see you all there for some epic Trench Wars action!
