Should pub settings be changed at the weekend?

OK, I have had another weekend's pub basing upset by changes to my beloved Lanc. I am presuming that this is another weekend event (although nothing seems to inform players what has changed when they log on.)

Sometimes these events have been a bit of fun for me (although others have complained as usual), sometimes they have had a positive effect (like some intense attachmode basing). Other times I have not wanted to play pub that weekend due to the settings.

So what do you folks think?

how about settings should be changed for the weekend IN A WEEKEND EVENT ARENA. DUH.

weekend is a good time to have a pub event imo, but I can stipulate some alternatives that would also work. one or all of these could apply.
- saturdays only as an example of a different time.
- one full weekend every month, rather than every weekend.
- a weekday that people choose (since perhaps weekends are prime time for population).

i think a separate arena probably wont work for testing or pub ideas, unless it's hosted with the ER on fridays or something and the ER builds up players and brings them to the event arena to play for a bit.

i think it's also difficult to let players know the changes for the event in the arena? You'd need to create green text? or update the news.txt on the zone join. spooked already informs players via the discord. but maybe more methods of information are in order, as well as letting people know the exact date and time the event will end.

Yeah, that is actually what the news text is for. So that would be a good use of the news.txt.
