new lancaster settings

I like change for better, but will the new lancaster setting change the entire game play of tw? (I'm talking about pubs and basing games only here.) Already I have seen more people using lancasters instead of spiders and wbs in basing. Are they just testing the new settings or is this a permanent change for prefference? What do you think?

The lanc settings have been used in ?go base and twbd arenas for quite some time if memory serves. They still don't work as well as spiders IMO.

They havent been used for that long and i figured most people didnt know about it until it went to pub. I think we will see a lot more of the lancaster in the future.

quit tryin to change TW's settings....they're fine....they've been fine since TW Started....and they will always be fine....therfore make the weasel its normal size....NOW!

The spider is still way better than the lanc in basing.

Had the same thing when the weasel & the lev was changed. A big increase in use for a week or 2, then it went back to normal. Don't worry about it.

PS. Glad to see this improved lanc finally made it into pubs aswell.

And they have been adjusted many times.. The settings before the lancaster-change were not the settings TW started with :P

One interesting thing is with the lower damage level if your enemy has full energy then it takes 2 hits to kill them. So it does make one learn to aim a little b.c you have to hit your target a second time if you want to kill it.

Of course if they have 1/2 energy one shot kills them.

I like the new settings for lanc.

But they also effected the LEvi with the same bullets of course...which is bad. One shot from a levi should kill. Maybe they thought the bullets that look the same should cause the same damage?

That's how the arena settings are, you can't change L2 settings specifically for each ship, L2 bullets are L2 bullets.

This game has been going since the mid to late 90's, there are 8 ships in this game and about 500,000 people have played it in that time period. Just because you never play the lanc do you really think no one else plays it? If you make generalisations like this how do you think we're meant to believe anything else you say?
