Just wondering what the weakness of being in the fastest ship, that can see cloaked ships, sitting on roof where only 2 possible things can kill you (enemy burst or jav bomb) getting free kills from the FR is?

Terrs have the worst (guns) firepower out of all ships, unless you count jav ass-shots. Other than a starting speed, terr shot speed is limited to your current intertia. Also having x radar on can get you killed. The drain isn't much, but when jav bombs are going off all around you it can get you killed. It adds up.

As far as them bursting from the roof goes....just fly up there and kill the bastard. Blows my mind how many people try to kill *insert ship here* on the roof from within the flagroom. Just fly to the roof and kill 'em for fucks sake.

Half my dodges are based on where the enemy ships are pointing, but a burst the terr doesnt have to aim it at you, so i dont see them :/ and it is so damn annoying to see yourself blow and have no clue why until you see who killed you - a terr.

and it bounces like 20 times and lasts forever and its totally unpredictable inthe flagroom. ure TWBDing and you die out of nowhere in the heat of battle - u know its a terr.

              they need to change it.

where is the weakness in burst? its free, it takes up no energy, doesnt kill teammates, 1 shot kill, and you can burst from a totally safe distance.

that's about as fair and balanced as Fox News.

And they only get one and need to wait for teammates to green them another.

Awww the poor babies having to wait until they're greened by other ships while they sit all defenseless in the flagroom.

                    Some weakness.

                      Cheap?

First, just dodge, dodge, dodge. I mostly play terr and 've learned to watch bursts carefully, aimed or not. I slip past my own and enemy's bursts with such a small room for error that sometimes I really should have died in my attempt to get away from the terriar carried warbirds and spiders en masse on their way to kill me. I prefer the "one hit one kill" change, though I never really noticed it, because it seems people like to eat my bursts just as much as if they were random damage still. But as far as bursts being cheap and should be removed, that's just dumb. It's the terr's only advantage, aside from speed and the ability to warp, and it's definately it's only offensive advantage, and for a ship that's not meant to fight it's pretty good. If you still have trouble dodging, and yes I know it can get hectic in fr and you aren't looking for bursts to avoid, try keeping to the areas of the fr that you have much more room to move in, I keep to the top and sides and I usually never get burst killed unless 'm not paying attention.

And for the love of gods... stop calling weasels cheap.

Who said that weasels are cheap?

The only thing that is sucky a weasel is when ppl intend to go cloak, cloak is ez, while being uncloaked requires skill. A true weasler that understands the ship doesn't need cloaks to overcome his enemy.

So I would say weasels are cheap cloaked, but uncloaked they are decent light fighters, with the benefit of (what is it called) radar and the small size. I think these guys need an applause for being brave enough to go uncloaked and be good at it: Rion., vorf and junin. I'm sure there are many more good weaselers out there.

Conclusion: "Weasels cloaked are cheap, while uncloaked aren't."
Improvement: Give the weasel a rep! :P

Call them cheap if you want, cloaked that is, but it requires an amount of skill to kill effectively, cloaked or not. Even as the Continuum site states, Weasels in TW are the "assassins", how many assassins have you heard of that walk up to their enemy and lop off their head in the middle of a crowded area? Not too many, and those that do, are either foolish or have so much confidence that they feel they can do such.

Weasels have cloak for a reason, they were made to have cloak and they have had cloak for a long time. Without reps they are disadvantaged, because it seems once a weasel is spotted, the entire team wants to go after it because they seem to think it a big threat. It's all well and good if you can play weasel uncloaked, if you can, you deserve a cookie, but calling people cheap or lame or newbies because they use a ship the way it was designed to be used is just stupid, because people certainly don't complain when they have a cloaked weasel on their team scoring kills.

I'd like to get rid of bursts completely, or at least reduce their damage a bit. It's a good move to have fixed damage in pubs, and it's good too to keep the settings the same in pub, twd and twl. The difference is that in twd and twl you only have one enemy terr to deal with, in pub you may have quite a few. If you're in the flagroom and three terrs burst at the same time, you ARE fucked. Anyone who says they can dodge bursts in that kind of situation is deluding themselves as you won't even see them before you're dead. Give them some damage just make it non-lethal.

that would make terrs pretty much completely defenseless...

it is easier to get kills in warbird or spider than it it in a weasel
