New Staff?

The attitude alot of duelers seem to have is kind of negative. And alot of basers have more of a positive attitude. (though I think that's just so they get liked, and will get picked in ?go base. I tend to whine alot more than when I never got picked.) Though it's true, there are too less duelers in staff, and more than enough basers.

All I'd like to say is that yu don't get staff by playing ?go base.

Oh and there are alot of dueling/javing mods out there. Or smods. Or whatever comes next.

Yes, what you said is all true, however you don't get picked (or even considered) as a potential staffer these days if you DONT play ?go base ... you have to get to know Pure_Luck somehow... and what does Pure_Luck do? he only bases. It's fine if it's his thing but maybe they should get a new co-dean of staff now that the pusher is gone and pick someone from the dueling scene

And I hardly ever see pure_luck in base anymore, maybe it's just because of the time difference. Well anyways, I think you just need a reputation, in any arena. And you dont really get a reputation by sitting in elim being afk, or spending your day in a private arena like alot of people do. And changing names doesnt help too much either. (ironic to say that because I just changed mine, but I have no staff ambitions.)
But yeah, playing ?go base is alot easier to get inot satff than playing (b)elim and other dueling arenas.

2 of the 3 leagues are not basing, 2 of the 3 divisions are not basing. it may have started out in the beginning as a basing zone but it has evolved and there was a time when the staff was appropriately diversified.

Maybe you should talk with upper staff Awesome. You're comming off very negitive towards those staffers and basers as a whole, I know you know it's more of a problem with the system but your posts seem very much directed towards basing staffers negatively and not towards the problem.


I personally do not see much of a problem with the way TW staff recruits. If a person is active and known enough, much (although not lately) like anyone who has been hired, then they'll get hired. Personal interactions within the basing community imo are not required or needed with their current system for new recruits. That being said, I don't know why duelers haven't been hired a lot lately but I hope the deans would review all potential players and decide fairly, putting their league affiliations aside. I can't say from my postion in TW if that is happening or not but you can't right out say anything is happening or not from your postion either.

There is a systematic system put in place so that yes basers will get picked. If you don't like the system then fight to get into staff, you and only you can make yourself stand out. And if you don't like it then you can fight dock>, but I assure you, you will lose.
