Dotsy, because some people who have a name that rhymes with tchope, seem to find it amusing to get year or two old Telcat threads and go "haha you go girl" at the end. It's kind of pointless. Not to mention there have been some other immature people that would go back and start replying to old threads with complete nonsense just to bump them up. It makes complete and total sense to warn them to me in those cases.

Unfortunately if you look at the post above mine most defenses to this seem to be mostly attempting to rail against moderators. rotest: Amusing that there is actually a smilie for that now.

I think Kim is still getting his feet under him and is still learning, as it takes a certain bit of on the job experience to do something like this really well. I got nothing against him, I mean most of the asian girls he posted were pretty hot, after all.

I don't think though that you can defend the integrity of the staff position by putting the hammer down on someone that bitches about you, Kim. It's much better to be as good of a moderator as you can, and the first time people really need a mod and you're there, watch them sing a different tune then.

I hadn't played TW in a few months so I searched my name in the forum to see if anyone had noticed, and noticed that some dude had been impersonating me. I never had a chance to post to these threads before so I posted then.

I don't hold any resentment for being banned, but it certainly seemed excessive. I didn't intend to cause any disruption to the forum, so a simple warning might have worked. Also, when I signed in, I was confused as to what happened. It didn't say why I was banned. So I had to log on to TW and ask people there what happened.

People with sufficient privileges might want to set it up so that bans have an explanation and a time limit. And it might also be good to not ban people for more than a day when they screw up, when there's no malice intended, or to even just give them a warning and a second chance.

I don't understand what you mean by this, since the rule is just the same. Can you provide a link or clarify what you mean by this?

I already said that there is a new rule in the TW forum rules, so perhaps you should click on the announcement called TW Forum Rules, which can be conveniently found at the top of every sub forum.

Lets say this old thread is the only thread containing the information you are about to make a new thread about. So what would be wiser, just revive this very old thread or just make a new thread?

As in almost every forum or as a forum etiquette, that you should first search the forums if there is something related to you wanted information to post. And if you post isn't just bull, but usefull information related to the topic.

Does it mean you will still get a warrning even if the information is related to the topic, and its not bull? And the thread might be over 6 months old or even more.

I was just thinking this other day, since I have made thread back in 2003, about if you can post there if its not bull. Though it was just a thought, really, I don't have anything to add to that thread, still I thought about the issue, if you are able to post or not.. bla bla blaah. :P
