Quirion is back as First Stage

Well i wish first stage all the best and good luck to Flazio / Starflam. I wondered who he was, i didn't know it was Starflam untill this thread, i remember you were an assistant with me back when Quirion was just starting though you weren't in that long unless you came in under a different name again.

It is not easy to captain a squad that has such a high turnover rate, going over the same arguments time after time with every one you recruit as they all want to jav, wb or terr and not spider or shark. For a while i found myself constantly nagging and telling ppl not to talk as they spam WTF!! REP!! and argue instead of playing. Kicking can be inaffective as i'm sure some have just changed there name played pub a while and got back in. Also making friends which leave then ultimately leave the squad is also hard.

On the positive side you meet some nice funny people who will help in running the squad.You meet a lot of nice people in pub too that find they don't like basing but you still meet them and become friends. This is what for me made it worthwhile and it was the reason i stayed in the squad for the longest out of anyone who had been on Quirion.

Anyway good luck with the new name and structure, i hope it is a success.

I don't want to tell you how to run "your" squad, but maybe you should have 1 or 2 experienced people on it to help and give advice, etc. It would probably help a lot.

BasingCrew does have experienced basers, and we do help them out.. we can't on their team chat in a BD tho but its something.

Hey Sumpson,

good thing that you continue the Quiron-idea with this new Squad.

I came into Basing & TWD through Quirion (ty Volny 4 inviting me) while hanging around in Pub&Elim 3.5 years before (with only half the fun).

I rarly got picked in ?go base , and if I got in, I was swiftly subbed and blamed by the "Pro's".
(OK, I sucked, but no wounder ... noone ever told me about a basing-guide.)

This is Dependency except for basing, which is a pretty good idea though I'm not sure about its odds for success.

I applaud the sentiment, though.

I hope First stage will be as active as Quirion was. I think its very good idea to make a squad for "unexperienced" ppl, its always nice to see more basers around.
