I've never used post counts as a means of determining whether or not I'm going to take someone lightly. If the guy's an idiot, he's an idiot, and vice versa.

Get rid of the join date too so new people can say they are elite veterans that just came back from a 3 year break.

Did I say it would completely bamboozle the current forum users so they would have no idea whos new to the forums? I said it would be harder to tell. If you really want to socially analyse the forums then you could argue that despite it existing, there isn't even a huge amount biggotry on the boards and certainly not as much as you're implying in your posts. Stop looking for something to argue

Edit: I'm going to add "twisting sentences so they fit your best argument even if they don't directly relate to the first post" to that thread I made

It should have a dash after the thousand.

Don't know if that is an English thing but in Spain and many European Countries they do stuff like 9.345.345.345.345.345.345.345

                                1. Allow avatars, a change of user title to users who have been around for an x amount of days/months/years, etc*

                                2. Allow people who have been registered for an x amount of days to be able to have a picture in their signature (probably no larger than height: 50 pixels, length: 200 pixels, jpeg format)

                                3. Put the exact join date of the player instead of the month/year? Maybe some sort of ranking system even?

Example: 1 month - TW Pubber, 6 months - Elimmer, 1 year - TWD Player, etc*

And a last idea, would be for 1 and 2. After say, 6 months, 1 is allowed, and then 1 year, 2 is allowed.

Just for example, if you're looking for more 'personalization' don't hold me to any of the timers or amounts.

edit: without the post counter, in some respects, you can't tell how active/inactive one user is when you see them post. I think the players who spam the forums with a load of crap (the reason of the counter being removed) are now just gonna be better hidden cause you can't see how many posts they've done out front.

No offense, Dameon, but the second I stopped reading your post I had to quote it and reply, without reading further.

A "ranking system" as you put it, is just an alternate method of making people think they're superior to others, and that their opinion is more important.

It doesn't matter how many posts the person has made or how long the person has been registered.

I'm sure there are people that play who have been around way longer than you, but still arent registered on the forums.

I just think adding something like this would totally undo the effects of removing the postcount.
