yeah, im from Uk aswell with 1024kb adsl, and ive noticed a significant increase in my lag recently. maybe the sys ops are getting behind on the tw server funds? :fear:

Your connection doesnt really lower your ping when it goes above 256kb because even in intensive flagroom fights continuum uses around 5-10kb up&down.

I too have a cable modem, granted it runs through a router and I do as well have a Fire Wall, but before the lag limits stirred about I had lagged out around 2-3 times, that's it. And that was with p2p services, net browsers, winamp and other such programs open (they weren't open to enhance lag either). Now I can barely play ?go base because everytime I kill I lagout. So I reconnect to TW and have everything else closed down, still fuckin' lagout. I know I lag but I don't think I lag enough to let me be disabled from all TWD and base.

I think TW really has gone too far and these settings are too restrictive. I want as many people as possible to be able to enjoy TW, and I hate it that people that I've known for a long time suddenly lag out and want to stop playing TW. Just put the settings back the way they were.

I have DSL, 128k. I hardly ever lagged out, but i lagout once in awhile now.. I do lagout because im connected ot a d-link and when people use the other computer it lags. The thing is, when i unplug/plug in my ethernet cable my lag is a solid 90 90 60 120 .1 .2, I don't lagout at all.. Maybe you people should talk with your internet, because if im not lagging out with DSL you shouldnt be with Cable
