    Pfft, all LTs do is annoy and bother those basing.

    Though to be fair, perhaps the best decision would have the pure pubs have the new, useful Levs while the normal pubs could have the crazy killwhore 3000(which can be understandably fun).If it doesn't bother my basing I don't see an issue.

          Levs sucked in this zone. Im glad you finally decided to change them. Good call. In every other single zone the lev is more agile and a better all around ship than this big tank people we driving around in pubs here.

            nice improvement. however, I agree that less shrap at faster speeds would be even better. some added maneuverability wouldn't hurt either.

            also, give sharks back their shrap. I don't care if it is non-random, shrap is one of the shark's primary weapons.

              I don't know why the shrap was removed. Is staff trying to eliminate the luck factor? If that's the case they need to reduce the time that bursts stay in play. Half of the time when I die it's because of a burst from a terr that probably had no idea I was even in the same zip code.

              E for effort, but the existing basing ships need to be fixed before trying to bring the levi back into play.

                Why do the other ships have to suffer so that the levs can have a prettier explosion?

                  The new settings are pretty cool - but if possible when you attached to a terr it would be cool to see the big POWERFUL blue bomb again, if that was possible.

                    If you want to make it a bit deadlyer wich i think it should just make the shrap a bit more fast... and give it a portal, besides that i prefer the older settings much more.

                      Yesterday's Changes:

                      - Shrap reduced by 35%
                      + Attach bounty lowered to 14 from 20. Team-greening added up to 14.
                      Just wait till your team greens you to 14 or kill one enemy to attach.


                      Now to answer some of the questions:

                      The bomb itself does little damage. It is the shrap that kills if you hit somebody directly.

                      The no-TK aspect of the Lev-MK2 is more of a welcome side-effect than an intentional feature.

                      *If you team kill too much as a baser you risk losing the flag room. It is a balancing factor.
                      As the old Lev hardly ever made it into the flag room, its team kills serve no real purpose.

                      it remains a prevalent problem in our zone.

                      Believe it or not I am (was?) a hard-core LevTerr player as well as a baser. I am still
                      looking at a way to make it so that a bot can prize the Leviathan. That way we can have both
                      the old and new Leviathan in different Public arenas.

                      This is possible, but I found it odd to make people 'feel' the bomb (screen shakes) at large
                      distances without actually receiving any damage.

                      I wanted to force people to shoot/aim with the bomb. However, if a lot of people prefer the
                      old bullets it can be done. ?buy gun will still give you L3 bullets & shrapnel though.

                      Aside from the changes made to the Weasel recently these weekend events are purely
                      for adding some variation and also an opportunity for me to test new settings and see people's
                      reactions/opinions. Will these settings ever become permanent? Who knows, it may take a while
                      such as it did with new Lancaster. It has been around since the day I made ?go bigbase.

                      Two yellow shrap or one blue shrap kills. You can ?buy gun in safe to get blue shrap (sometimes you spawn with it).

                      Now we come to the problem of the inflexibility of the settings. With the new settings for
                      the Lev, all the shrapnel of the other ships get the same characteristics. This made the Shark
                      shrap pretty much useless as it lost the random (I still think it aims sometimes :P) shrapnel.
                      However, making the Leviathan the only ship that can use shrapnel, does give it its own personality.

                      I can make them faster, but that would automatically mean that it would travel much further,
                      increasing the range of the already large ring of shrapnel. You can counter this by decreasing the time a
                      shrapnel lasts on screen. Unfortunately it is linked to the lifetime of the bullets and burst as well.

                      Sometime today the ASW event will end and the settings will revert to normal. Perhaps in the
                      future we will have another ASW, with or without the Leviathan MK-2. Despite the fact that
                      some people did not like the change, I hope that the majority did have fun.

                          I liked the changes, and appreciate the effort you guys put into tweaking things to try and make players happy. that said, the loss of shrap really hurt the shark. can't you do something to compensate it? I've always thought sharks should receive team greens, since they live and die by their repels.. but any little thing would help.

                          anyways, it looks like the levs and weasels are back to normal for now.. but the javs and sharks aren't?

                          edit: I like how whenever I have the slightest complaint that's actually an error and not a disagreement of opinion, staff fixes it like, instantly. *thumbs up*

                            Oh it is nice to have staff experenting new settings! It means that the game hasn't become stagnant and it also shows some job done to the comunity wich is always apreciated... despite some comments otherwise, it also brings something new to the game and new mechanics. Despite the fact that i did not apreciated these change i can see some improvements that it brings... perhaps in the future you could find some settings that don't make levterring so difficult "i didn't tryed it but i can only think it's very difficult, perhaps with a JAV after getting chunks of shrap greens "

                              meh, sure there is the pure pubs, but they're so often full (and only the first one has a timer). Today I came online and noticed there was just three pubs with people: first two full, and then third with 20-25.

                              So more pure pubs would be nice. Or better yet, how about all pubs are pure except one pub where are LT people can go and fly around the base and bomb it. If they start complaining that no one ever goes in it, you can make some bots and put them in the base to die.
