There is such a thing as over-population, and that's what we have here. If the average population in the zone is about 450 then 20% less would be about 360 people, still a healthy number and still at least 50% higher than the next most populated zone. Just imagine what the other zones will think about TW players crying over their population dropping to a mere 360. If even half of the 90 people would leave TW tried other zones then it's still better for the overall Continuum community.
And take a look at some of the problems we have in this zone. Too many people TK because the overall skill of the player base is diluted. Too many people not basing (if those a lot of people leave because the levi were changed into a basing ship, then it's not basers that we are losing). Staff being overtaxed and being able to efficiently serve an inflated player base. Rules and settings that are designed to appeal to the lowest common denominator instead of being towards actual improvement. All of those problems are symptoms of a zone being too big for its own good.
Everyone seems to believe that population size is the sign of how well this zone is doing. That's just a myth.
