So the vets are good at the dueling, which wasn't the main intention (though it evolved into that for people who called themselves the 'elite vets') of Trench Wars, and now a person who has indeed mastered the art and has been around a while is telling the people who have played pub and base for ages for which this server was made for, that they aren't vets. Makes sense I suppose.

the veterans consider warbirds the most important because they were once the only league! well not exactly, you could play any ship in twl but warbird was the only sane choice.. and fieryfire surely meets the requirements. never seen ff's elim ratings or whats the problem?

According to your theory, people like Brookus, Mantra-Slider, M_M God and Dock> are not vets because they give a heck about warbirds.

You are so wrong. Soon all the most important spots in industries and governments are taken by subspace players. Any newb (who happens to be a CEO of a large corporations) would love to have elite wb working for him. Important newb to another: "I got Blood working for me" "NOOOOOO!" (I used Blood, because according to this thread he is the most elite and most vet of everyone.)
