K this is the last time Im going to say this.

Emailing staff about bans I recieve never works, and I justg wanted to point a error in the system. If you don't like me complianing about my ban, dont read my posts. I feel they way the zones ban people is a problem and I think it should be fixed. For your knowledge I was not banned for not fighting but i was repeatedly wanred and specced. At some time I was even fighting, and I just wanted to say my opinion on why I think even getting warned was bull.

For the staff, I have been in staff and I do know how it is run, as well as I do have friends that are in staff now. So don't say that we dont know what we are talking about.

We make this posts because this was the first tru online game that I ever got involved with. I have played this game for over 7 yrs and have grown up with so many people in this game. I have seen how people as well as this zone has changed so much over the years. Even though it hurts me to say but this zone has become aport of my life over the years, sometimes for good and bad. So we try to speak out, because we have loved the experiences that we have all shared in this zone. For us seeing many changes over the years brings disappoint because the zone is not the same zone that it was when we first started.

I just feel the zone is not getting better but getting worse and this is just my opinion. Yet I do know alot of people that feel the same way as I do. I just hope you understand where many of the vets are coming from when they say this. Also remember many of the vets that you tend to insult have gave much to this zone that you don't even know. So try to show a little respect that they may know a little on what they are talking about.

Regardless if it works or not, the forum is not the place to post your personal quarrels with staff.

The history of this forum shows us that it does nothing but create a safe place for the mentally challenged and Brazilian members to post their hate and personal problems with staff, which does nothing to solve their problem but only makes this a more hateful place and less friendly to people open to change and people with ideas.


I can say what I want and what I am saying I think makes sense. If you're not here now, I don't know know if or how long ago you were staff then you do not know how everything works pretaining to staff quota and general responce time and other things. You can't sit there and tell me you have a clear view of all of that.

All I can say is if you feel the current ZHs are not doing their job Mantra is not one to let them off so easily. I still care about the zone as I can see most lower staffers do. I think it's time for upper staff to release some control of public settings to lower groups so we can get some change, Moot and I tried a while back but it didn't work. I'm still trying to make it happen but I think a general group of staffers and memebers should form a group and put forward proposals, nothing formal just a few people there to make things better.


I'm not putting you guys down, I've played for just as long as you have actually. I will show you as much respect as another person on this game. Don't take it as an insult but I don't treat anyone special on this game. I think it's clear being there that you're not seeing everything happening as far as quotas, staff interactions, upper staff dealings and general responce to calls. It's kinda hard to get an objective and clear view of staff without being in it, and I don't mean being staff 3 or 4 years ago or anything like that. You can have your opinions, I will still hold to what I see and know but I will not defend staff just because I am there.


I'm trying to shift this off of areas of the zone that are not current problems so we can stop arguing. Even if for example ZHs were ignoring calls or doing nothing and they were not being axed, nothing you or I say here can change that. PL and Mantra are not going to get axed and a few ZHs using RoboHelp also are not. Complaining about it also will do nothing but we could focus on changing RoboHelp's role in staff chat though or maybe something more important like ship settings, cheaters/hackers and team killers... I don't think there's many problems in lower staff, ZHs not doing their quota or not doing things right, regardless of who they are, don't stick around for long and that's the same for most levels.

Ripper, I am a prime example of why a thirteen year old shouldn't have been hired, there is no two ways about it, I was a crap staffer. So a few years passed, hair grew in places I'd never seen before and now I would like to think I do my job to a good standard and certainly do not abuse. Although, for the record I never specced anyone who used to kill me or do well, I used to spec people who were cocky and pushed rules etc and then expected to play; of course my opinions have vastly changed after my second 'go' on staff.

Pegasis, I agree with you about RoboHelp. It doesn't seem to be as bad anymore but you will always get a few staffers just hiding behind the bot to respond to FAQ's, I personally always give a personal response just for the sheer convenience of the person who's asking it. Although, RoboHelp can be useful for times where staff are at low-activity points and there are not many online but again, people can argue that with so many players from different time zones that can never happen.

Hmmm, not shooting in elim; now this is a tricky one. Now many people would just leave it, but contary to your belief, no-one ever really ignores helps or cheaters so the arguement that we should go and warn racists and cheaters is somewhat invalid. Quite simply if there is anyone breaking rules with the technology of PubBot we're on to it.

Rules aren't there to be broken, flying around elim not shooting is called Refusing to Fight and is illegal. Using your hands in football (THAT'S PROPER FOOTBALL NOT AMERICAN FOOTBALL) is against the rules. If we don't pick up on the little things then again, it'll just keep happening and happening until someone gets warned.

Because that's what it's all about, I very rarely play this game anymore but when I did it is very clear the kind of people who complain, who push rules, who break them. Take a look at a few pages back in this forum of people who are moaning they have been banned 'unjustly' - Yes, modern day DEAs. And there will always be breeds of people who have nothing better to do, these breeds stick together and make themselves sound normal within each other, but to people who can be bothered to argue; they are wrong (but who can win an arguement over the internet?) who's lives are perhaps unsatisfactory; now you can all jump on me here and whine that you're lives are fine. That's very easy to say behind a computer monitor.

I know this, why? Because I was one of these people, axed from staff, banned a few times for pushing the rules and then writing forum threads on here with Cig Smoke complaining only to have my ban lengthened (now that's an idea!). As Ephermal says if you don't like it, don't play it. That doesn't mean you can't ask to change the zone, this is YOUR zone but use TWPS not here, don't take out your frustration on a 2d spaceship game. I invite you to walk away, I invite you to realise; this isn't life.

Yes, that's the problem. This is a very silly argument, instead you could say what staff does exactly to counter his complaints, because alot of people don't seem to see what staff does on the background.
Sure there are alot of dedicated developers hired on staff, but they needn't be on staff really, they are working on bots and sub-arena's.
The complaining isn't about the developers, so stop hiding behind them developers. They do a good job, now what about the rest of staff?

Without being on staff you wont see everything happening, that's not a problem but just a fact of how this zone runs. Even with a PR Smod constiantly providing information non staff memebers will still not get the whole view or all information that I or another staffer would. Information pretaining to quotas, personal information staff trainers share and the general operations would not be something posted publicly, this information is vitial and without it acusations are baseless and opinion.


I did counter his statement, I said he was incorrect, in my opinion as to how staffers are handling the zone. Many staffers are involved in groups that work for the zone, these could be staff trainers, TWDev and other things on top of taking calls or coding. Some people like Pegisis believe most staffers are over using RoboHelp when in fact the bot picks up one words within ?help calls and responds with the best fitting responce. People are too stupid to use the !summon command, we know that and even most informed players will not use it either. I don't see staffers using it except to look up information. I told him that Elim Killer's compliants were invalid not only because he was doing something illegal and admitted to it but because this forum isn't the right place to post warn/ban compliants. For help calls I think ZHs are doing good, I rarely see one person go without help but maybe during the early morning hours, some ERs don't host much but it wasn't much fun for me.. I guess they need to work on that, Some older mods neeed to move out and give other people a chance and some need to be removed for cheating and abusing. We're trying to do the best and I think we're doing good. The only problem you'll get from me is when you question my commitment and intent on staff, presuming things about my fellow staffers will probably get you the same resentment and disgust.


Some people are under the impression that their single experinces constute the actual enviroment and status of TW staff, they're wrong. My experiences will also not constute the status entirely but I think I'm in a better position to make that call. Some others are also under the impression that lower staff has control or say over many problems here such as the settings, so ZZ this is a very mixed up thread.

This is a little off topic ZZ but I talked to that person on RB, he said I was never was rude to him and I didn't even talk to him at all. I left Incuria a while back because I thought the squad was dead and I didn't join any squad for about a year later or more. I know you hate me but don't let it effect this thread please.

Some bot coders/staffers will be needed in the future and I think they would make a nice addition to staff. There were not a lot of them before and the goal was to get 1 or 2 of them only. It was an opportunity and still is to allow people who are dedicated to the zone and has the knowledge to make it better, to be in a position to do everything they can. I was against this at the start but knowing now that only a select few coders would be allowed in, while doing the same quota as a ZH I agreed not being open to this really means you're against development and change on this zone. I didn't want TWDev kids using it as a fast pathway really, I'm still hoping it isn't. Coders also need access they tradionally only gained by being staffers, the trust gained by doing it allows them to have that access and some see it as a give and take, you get staff for helping the zone.. I think that's a perfectly reasonable trade off considering the gain we could recive by technically putting them into slave labor. Their main function should be as staffers if they're on staff.

The major problems of this zone mostly do not relate back to lower staff and I really can't see many failings in them, at least the failings many of you have posted. I see lower staff doing their job and I do my part.
