Back on the old forum a long while ago someone did an interview(annux i think) and it was pretty interesting.. and for the most part everyone liked it. We were supposta to get more interviews... yet there hasn't been anymore yet. Response?

Lol i was thinking of putting together a TW interviewing sorta thing and get some people that would wanna be interviewers and just ask people some random things.

Then I realized people these days try too hard to be funny, and the interviews would end up being stupid.
Pluss some1 said it was a bad idea and I crack under peer pressure.

Trench Wars community is like an organism. It evolves and changes daily, while some parts of it forever stay in tact. TW Legends are players that have altered the community in such manner and form, that they will forever be remembered and treasured.

Here is an interview with one of those treasures : Jack Kiefer. It is done by Annux.

1. Q. Is Kiefer an Italian name or an Irish one?
A. German…Its pronounced Keyefer, most people think it's Keefer.

2. Q. how old are you, jack
A. just turned 20 this month, august 16th.


3. Q. do you go to college
A. Part time last year, this year part time again

4. Q. Where do you currently live?
A. Oregon, Portland

5. Q. What do you think is your appeal? Why is it
that when many people think of TW they think of you..
A. What do you think?

6. Q. The name "Jack" its manly, easy to pronounce, and sticks in your mind
A. So if I used the name Shaved Muskrat you don't think I would be in the same position I am in?

7. Q. Umm no…
A. The only reason I used the name Jack Kiefer is because I couldn't think of anything else and picked a name from a book.

8. Q. Now you mentioned beforehand that you got the
name out of the book… What is your real name?

A. Doug.



9. Q. Doug Funnee?

A. Yeah, that works.


10. Q. Are you excited for playing in Final this season?

A. anything can happen, besides I am benching myself. I'll play games
where we are ahead 2-0 going into the third round. But I dont have the confidence to play in important matches at the moment. That could change soon, who knows.


11. Q. What are some of the squads you have played for (any zone)?

A. prophacy, knightz, babylon, frakture, evox, lame, elusive, final, siege
More but thats what comes to mind at the moment.

12. Q. why did you quit Lame?

A. I felt like competeing again.


13. Q. What kind of computer do you use?
A. my comp isn't very good, 600mhz pent3 *need
better*. 756mb Ram, 32mb tnt video card and other crap. in pro I can use 1900x1600 connection is Cable…1280 in TW.


14. Q. Jack, you are defined as a "veteran" But what
defines a veteran
A. veteran to me is someone who has alot of
knowledge about the game and has played for
some time.
15. Q. Now, no one doubts your skill, but name me
some names of players that have embarrassed
you in duels.
A. Nobody really embarrased me, but I have lost
to people. I traded duels with alot of people
while in Elusive and around that time, the
only reason people thought I was better was
maybe because I was more open in elim and
talked more and did well so people knew about
me more is all. Some people who I can
remember at this moment are, Epinephrine,
FieryFire, Win95, Banzi, Sudden.. more, but I
can't think of them at the moment.


16. Q. When playing TW, what do you love the best?

A. Some things I did in trenchwars that I enjoyed
have been playing TWL for Elusive, when I had
like 84 kills in the old style ww3 with all
warbirds and when I was into elim and went for. I had the most fun during those times.

17. Q. You are one of the most wellknown players of
TW, what do you feel made you so popular in
the eyes of others?
A. Trying to be nice to everyone and playing
well.


18. Q. Doug, how would you describe yourself.
A. arrogant
sensative
understanding
forgiving
negative
cynical

19. Q. Jack, how do you feel about the current "elim"
attitude
A. Lack of respect. If people treated eachother with more respect
rather than bashing it would solve everything.

20. Q. What do you think made Subspace survive...it
being a 2d game with simple game mechanics?
A. The community, the fact that you are playing
with other people in a tight knit society.
Games like Diablo2, for example, anyone can be
good at it and a ton of people play it. Games
like Subspace are much more fun to play due to
the fact that you get to know everyone and it
takes skill rather than just alot of gameplay
to achieve high levels. I think thats what
makes subspace so hard to quit. I could walk
away from those 3d games anyday. But subspace
would be a different story.

21. Q. Now Jack, how do you feel about buttsex?
A. anal sex is fine if thats what you enjoy. I
dont believe in anal sex with the same sex but
anal sex with the opposite sex is fine.

22. Q. Jack, lot's of l33t players go into the
business of starting their own squads...ever
gave that a thought?
A. I started a squad called Cynical awhile back,
it was running well but then I got caught up
in a game called Everquest and quit Subspace
for months. If I had the choice to go back in
time and continue running the squad I would.

23. Q. Jack what would be an estimate of your total hours spent in TW (?usage).
A. Considering the amount of real time I have
been active in subspace my usage isn't that high. 1800-2000 hours.

24. Q. What kind of music do you like?
A. Everything from Dave Matthews to Nelly to
Metallica. I like a wide variety of music,
anything that evokes a strong emotion I enjoy.

25. Q. No Wu Tang Clan?
A. No, but I do have a few hip hop records.

AFAIK Annux was going to do more interviews, but decided against it due to the ungratefulness of the community or something.
