Really? I think this thread's creator is the only one with an ego problem. He gave us his life story and actually expected us to care, so obviously he really enjoys talking about himself. Too bad he eventually degenerated into the very sort of person he was condemning.

The fact that everyone on this thread confirmed that it is a GOOD thing to be the type of person I was condeming is a statement which speaks volumes about the character of people who frequent this forum.

Have you noticed that not a single person has said "Yea, i agree that people should try to tone down being retards to one another". Instead, i've had to deal with 20 people flaming me at the same time.

All you had to do was go back to your point instead of helping the thread be about you. That was the main fault with your opening post, the paragraph about yourself. The more you made this about you, the weaker anything you could have said about losing egos got.

Well I felt the background information was necessary to validate my opinion in the rest of the post...

Most newspaper articles do the same thing: they provide some context first to give validity.

If I had known things would have been better off without that paragraph, I would have left it out... ultimately I don't have anything to gain, I just wanted people to realize that some of the shittalking that goes on is unnecessary. There will always be shittalking, but there is no need to have most of the chat filled up with it.

There was no "tide" to turn. All i did was comment about how the TW public in general should improve their attitudes. The fact that people went against me and started personal flames because I said that people should be nice to each other is... simply amazing. What kind of a world do we live in?

If what has been said in this thread is true, it's fine to go up to random strangers on the street and insult them for whatever reason you feel like at the moment, with no purpose at all except making you feel yourself be glorified.
