Foundation Date: I don't know. I will say June 1, 2002. That is when I
became captain.
Previous Squads: Madcowz, Defcon1, LAME, Squad!, RoT3K
History: Began playing during beta 1.25. My friend Disobedience (Childrn
of Darkness/Sweet Transvestite/I Hate This Town/My Penguin is l33t) got
me into the game. Was on the same chaos east/nevada squad Madcowz as
him. I used the name Madcow of Deceit. My only claim to fame was
having a comment of mine about the NBA sucking being aired on a late
night sports talk show. The hosts made fun of my name.
I waited a couple months to buy the game when it went retail. By
that time Dis had left Madcowz and we were just occasionally popping in
zones to test them out. I had changed my name to Lord Kefka. Paintball
and Trenchwars were the only decent ones. In early summer of 1998, 2xt3
or whatever server TW was on, began to flesh out a bit more so we
decided to play and start a squad there. It was called DefCoNOne. I
stopped playing for some reason, I forget, and the squad didn't really do
anything. By late summer Dis's friend Mad Green had started a squad
called Defcon1 on the new iNet TW server. We convinced him to allow us
to be co-captains.
Defcon1 was a newbie squad by today's standards. It had at least
60 people and probably quite a bit more. Defcon1 was seperated in
squadrons for some reason, organizational purposes I guess. There was
Defcon1 owned by Mad Green, Defcon1 NW owned by sknox, Defcon1
Elites ran by Disobedience, and several more for squads that decided to
merge with us. I was technically in charge of defcon1 alliance, the beginner
squad. There wasn't even anyone in alliance, so we basically just shared
power. Defcon1 sort of ran the zone. We had most if not all of the sysops
and smods in our squad at the time. Akilla, sknox, Rectal Inversion,
MikeTheNose, Iceman21, Aviation Master. Ayden was in it but I'm not
sure if s/he was staff at that point. Our only serious competition were
Spiceforce5. Yes, named after the Spice Girls.
Mad Green decided to quit because of computer problems. Dis
and I didn't really want to deal with it all, especially since TW was in a bit
of turmoil in regards to staff. We decided to go on alt names and just
spawnkill/have fun. We got yelled at and decided to mock what people
called us "lame, stupid faggot spawnkillers" by using the squadname
LAME. And thus LAME was born. The whole squad was meant to be
stupid and to piss people off. We all had Child or Childrn names. A
KMFDM song off of their MONEY album inspired gimmick. There is no
e in Childrn because Children of Darkness would not fit properly. After a
couple weeks we totally abandoned Defcon1 and started recruiting good
warbirds for our new squad. After a month we had a competitive duel and
lost to Gyromite, led by Higgus and Mr. Sleep. Gyromite eventually
dissolved because Mr. Sleep had been banned for abusing his smod
powers. This was around November/December 1998.
Around January/February of 1999 CoD and I became bored. We
decided to restart Defcon1 as a side project. There were a few people still
in Defcon1 at that point, mainly because a fellow named ma$e had tried to
revive it in December, but had sort of let things slide. The three noteworthy
people remaining were TOFU, Damage Inc, and UltraHLE. CoD and I
convinced them to be their leader for a while, but a billing database error
meant that names were reset to two week old backups. This gave them an
opportunity to strike out on their own. After being denied from LAME,
TOFU and gang formed their own squad: TW Elites.
We fought with them off and on unofficially. We refused to play in
TWL and they never accepted our challenges in TW Semi-League. After a
couple months I got bored with Defcon1, so I let Flyzone run it while I
kept ownership of the squad. He got pissed at me because I wouldn't let
him change the banner so one day he told everyone I abandoned the squad
and that they should move to a new squad, "Defcon". CoD and I fought
this and they reformed under the name Backstab.
Because we were pissed off and to an extent wanted to go out on
top, CoD and I decided to quit playing subspace. Most of LAME went to
OBSiDEON or whatever the fuck it was. We went to play a MUD for a
while. Then the MUD started to suck. CoD went off to play Everquest
while I returned to Subspace. Starting in 2000 LAME was reborn. We
recruited some really good people and decided to do jack shit with them.
We didn't play in leagues. As a side project I started an obscenely newbie
squad called Squad!. My goal was to recruit 100 people in two weeks.
We maxed around 40-50 when I got angry off with myself and in a fit of
depression or something similar I simply got fed up and left without saying
a word. I bought everquest and started playing with CoD.
In May and June 2001, CoD and I quit EQ and decided to play
subspace a little. Back in 1998 I had set a record for most kills with 11111
(I got a little more, but 11111 is the most I had documented) .Because my
previous one had been eclipsed by hellkite from Cripples, I played too
goddamn much and set a new record for amount of kills in a 2 week reset.
(15000) The reset afterwards, LAME set a new record for points by a
squad in a 2 week reset, which was quickly eclipsed a reset or too later.
After 3-4 weeks of constantly playing we didn't want to spend that much
time on SS anymore. We dicked around looking for something to do. I
finished up my schooling. We started playing everquest again and still do.
I had not been playing subspace recently but on June 1st, 2002 I
became the squadleader of Vortex when I asked Crome to give it to me.
Seeing Annux had done something stupid, like giveaway his league squad,
on the TW Forums I decided to capitalize on the situation. Everything has
worked out fine so far. I am looking forward to the rest of the TWL
season.


Personal Achievements: Since their founding, I have consistently stolen members from the
squad Elusive. I was banned for repelling (harassing?) MikeTheNose in
pub. I got kicked off staff for constantly telling The Ghost Ship his settings
sucked. I have an AS (Major: Business) from a shitty community college.
Squad Achievements: I am hoping our 50-16 loss to Siege in week 4 is the
worst loss in TWL history.
Goals: To be the best squad ever.

History: A friend told me that I should try a game called SubSpace. First I thought the gamewas a joke, bad graphics and didn't find anything appealing about the game. I downloaded it to my own computer. I played a bit but then Finnair and S_N_I_P_E_R two Finnish guys helped me, and later asked me to join their squad named Trench Warriors. I got bored and got idea TW should make own league, I sent mail to TW staff Slowbob and Tofu helped me when I was new.. Then later I heard they are making league. I wanted to make my own squad so I made squad Flying Imps FI it was only for Finnish players (because my English sucked so much I could only say like "hi,
yes, no" :P) Well then we merged with Curys the Viru's squad Desert Warriors we
kept name Flying Imps. We had nice website where their was info on making Alcoholic drinks and black list (MkGenius) . Then came sk8 and -FiNAL-. -F-
took our members because they was in same school example K.J. I quit SubSpace.
And when I came back we made FI again but then again I quit SS. When Ii came back, myfriends was in Alien II's squad and they asked me to join. But after 2 days Utopia
was terring me i got 2035 bty there was old FI members, we decided we make
new squad. We had some meeting there was me, Lemon, Server, Mov and some other
guys. First was hard to decide the name we chosen 2 names mov: Orange ,Server: WildFire I went with Servers name, Server wanted me to lead the squad. We won TWLB 2 times and TWLJ once and came 3th in TWL. Again I quit SS . When I came back Solar System asked me to join his squad INK. He asked if I wanted to be be co-leader at first I wanted to be only a member but he kept asking then I said ok. I tried to recruit players like Jalapeno old WF members. They said "Server have asked me to Stone too, if u make WF again I'll join". I asked Server if he wanna make WF again he said he have thought about it too and we made it again. Solar didn't want to go. I got few problems Serversaid we have to decide together. Well then he made iwill/u recruiter and he ignored me and Server said I have to stfu. I was wondering why get some
recruiter with who I cant talk and found out server wanted lead alone squad I
went back to INK. Server went to reef but he tried ask me back maybe because he
wanted Hannes I don't know. He said I can be assist or something. Well we went
back with Hannes. We got few problems people who have read forums maybe know it
. Fallen Haven and Ravage both wanted to be leader with me. I chosen Ravage
because he helped me a lot. Of course Fallen helped me too with Server problems
so we made a council. Now me and Ravage lead squad and "We take the heat out
of you!"

Nationality: I'm an American, most of us are, but we have Canadians, Swedes, and Finns, oh yeah a German, an Israeli, a Scot, and a Korean.
Age: 18
Years Playing SS: I started playing SS like June of 2000, my friend jesse3216578, or just Jesse in real life showed it to me. I probably won't play after this summer much since I'm off to college, but I'll have my fun for now
Foundation Date: Well it was founded by me in November of 2000, so that makes it a year and eight months old
Previous Squads: Only one, it was called ...I can't remember because I was only on it a month or more, and we weren't in any leagues. It was a pub baser type of squad founded by my buddy Arka. He would know the name, he is now on Zwarriors, most of the squad became ZW when I started it with Jesse
History: Well if you want to know my history it would be mostly what I said above, but there is some other stuff. I'll leave the squad things for squad achievements, but I can tell you about staff, and my zone.
After I started the squad, me and Jesse wanted to do something else in SS. Trench Wars the only zone I played, I didn't like the others. So he worked on getting a server up on his own computer. We founded a nameless zone in December of 2000. We first called it Beast Wars, then decided on Epic Battles, and changed the map. We changed the map a lot, that is how i started making maps. Since I made them all without any help, and had to master tiles, and all. My skills at map making became very detailed. I started making better events, and various gfx. Our squad basically ran the zone, and we did quite well for ourselves. We got onto a real server and off Jesse's laggy cable modem. Our first server was under Exquisite, we hated it and left. We left for GD, or for those who don't know him, Gemini Dream. He put us up, because we were annoyed with the lag of Exquisite's server. The GD server worked well and Epic Battles had a good pub map. We were hitting high levels of population reaching 21 a night simotaneously. The SS council--the people who run SSC--hated GD. So Epic Battles couldn't get SSC billing. Exquisite offered it to us, and foolishly we accepted. So now we had SSCT Epic Battles. First problem was everyone had to update their list. Second was GD started flooding our zone and putting it offline. We were screwed over for about a month when we just gave up and shutdown the zone.

It came back, but first I want to talk about Speedball, and Staff. I got into staff the hard way. Since someone who hasn't even been playing ss a year usually won't get a staff position, I did it in a way nobody else has or will. Speedball. I was a speedball ref--no tag--or as we liked to be called, a SB Mod. I had bot control, I could answer help calls, and I had full power in all the speedball related arenas. They even gave me power in a couple other ones too, the ZH type ones. I had no real officail responsibility it was a bureaucratic seat. I had gotten this sweet job--which I miss--from Mr. Mike. Him and Chainbreaker ran the speedball league which Zwarriors were heavily involved in at the time. I was, and not to be modest, probably the greatest speedball player of the time when I was a SB Mod. Ask Crome, we use to duel in speedball a lot, he was considered the best until I came along. I knew everything about SB, I still have like 10,000 kills in ?go speedball, and I even wrote player guides for Mike and Chain. So naturally when Yomama let them have a helper, they picked me. Mike and Chain became SB Mods because they couldn't hold their ER positions. I on the other hand was not staff, and really a nobody. So I am still the only person to get on staff this way, and one of only three SB Mods to ever exist. I had to run the league in season 2 because Mike started playing ManKind with Chainbreaker. When the league went south Poid made me ZH but didn't take away my bot powers, so I'm the only ZH to ever have them I believe. Then I was ER for about 9 months, now i'm just another guy. I might go back to staff if they start treating me right.

After SB fell apart, and between leagues, we made one last attempt to revive Epic Battles. Which we did very well, and got up to 23 people a night, but then the server it was on (Exquizites) just fell apart. Which killed about 5 SSC zones on his server and made me lose all patience with running zones. Now I concentrate on leagues a little, and try to keep the guys from killing eachother.

Personal Achievements: Well most of my best achievements were with my squad, so I'll list them in that.
Squad Achievements: We were in Premiere League of Speedball, which is basically being a top teir. We did this after some how becoming the best speedball squad in TW. We were undefeated season 2, and had some major wins season 1. Only us and USB were in all 3 seasons. When we entered TWT everyone thought we were just a speedball squad. Yet we got into top 10 of both JT, and DT for a while, with more modest top 15 placings in BT. We also had the greatest upset in TWT beating Vulch in all three tournaments, some of the best games ever played. We got into TWLJ, and TWLD, but not basing which is just as well since we are a smaller squad now, and wouldn't have 8 people come to a match anyway. A very recent accomplishment was beating Shinobi in TWLJ after 7 straight losses. I told my team something very important before that game. We had just lost to Melee in dueling even though I went 16-10, so they were willing to listen to me. I put it in the Quote section.
Goals: Finish the season with respect

History: I started playing SS two years ago when Roi told me about this game. I've always played only in TW, and just recently I've started playing a bit SVS. When I started playing SS I didn't like it, but it took me only few weeks to start playing more often and get addicted. A month after I started, I formed X-Wing. We played 2 seasons in TWDL\JL\BL without special
Achievements. Then we replaced a disbanded squad in the middle of the 4th season of TWL Lower Tier. There we managed to stay undefeated until the end of the season while finishing in 3rd place. Even though we had no achievements, I believe we made a great progress in the year we existed, considering the fact that we started as a totally newbie squad and became
an average+ league squad. I dissolved the squad after a year, when I had enough of running a squad. Then I joined Vulch, where I played a half of TWTs season. When Crown Of Thorns quit SS and Vulch, the squad was falling apart and that was the time I left. Then I joined Shinobi and continued playing the other half of the TWTs season with them. After the TWTs season was
over, there was a long break from leagues. At the beginning of the break I was squadless, but after a while I joined Disoblige. I stayed in Disoblige until the current TWL season started and played the first 4 rounds with them. Then a spot became free in TWL-D, and I decided to leave Disoblige with Roi in order to create a new squad, hoping we could achieve something in TWL-D.

Goals: Our main goal is the playoffs of TWL-D, where we hope to give a fight to Siege, Elusive and Light. As for TWL-J, we have no expectations there, but we will be very pleased if we could get in playoffs.
