The basing pub is filled with ppl that mostly know what to do and how to play... sometimes however, ppl play really stupid.. sharks..javs and ruin the gameplay...anyway.. a autoban on tk's has some negative results, what doesn't is a vote system.. it would be great to have a system that allowes me to place a vote for a teammate to have his choise of ship be banned for him for the next 15 minutes or so..

4 example: if a player keeps laying mines on a attack that keeps splatting the assaulting team, one of the teammembers can place a vote for the team to vote on, if this player should be forced a different choise of ship for the next 15 minutes. If most ppl agree, then that player is only banned from the type he was flying during the ban for a short period of time..

But laying mines on attack can be a good thing.

Especially if it kills those pesky tking javs.

And you get bonus points if you get your own terra $$

Minus points though for killing weasels or levi, thats just lame

...tking tk-ers is not a good thing...even if they Are pesky tking javs. levis dont fly the basing pub.. and you'd only be banned for a short time from the shiptype you sucked with, not from the game.
besides the fact that your response is obviously not serious, it mostly shows your lameness and lack of knowledge of the game.

I agree on the temp ship change - ban thing.. but don't agree on the "people vote for the ship change" because what if some jerk decides to be a pain and start voting (abusing) to ban people from ships with their buddies lol

The bot should have something like "If you tk more than 4 pilots" or something like that you'd be banned from that ship for 15 minutes or so..

Would be good for the mods, less cheater calls to attend to.

Hmmzz.. i guess you are correct about the abuse sensitivity of voting..perhaps something can be thought out to counter that possibility.. then again.. i only suggest this bot for pub0, and in that pub most ppl dont screw around like that,so it might still be a good option. a bansystem like you suggest would register only a fraction of the tk's.. most are indirect, a vote would make it also possible to force for example a random mine laying shark or a continuously in team repelling shark etc to change ships...

Don't think it's a good idea...
If some pubber hates you he could get his friends and vote you out on purpose. I don't think you would want to be banned for not doing anything. But it's not that bad, 15 minutes is a perfect time to sit out and masterbate :P

I think its a great idea, but a 4 tk auto ban is not... just put a limit of like 1 vote per 5-10 minutes or so.

A vote system would bypass that problem..it does not need to be a tk triggered poll.
Pub0 is probably the most team interactive pub... not only are there some serious core players, the entire team interacts allmost continuously with all players of that team, therefore, i dont think its a huge problem if some ass decides to vote on a person that doesnt deserve it, because the rest of the team will Know this and vote no.. if the voting option is limited to once/15 minutes, i think this could be a real good addon to the potential skill level of the basing pub.

Indeed, it would occur a constant spam from the bot asking to place a vote on a specified player. Bad idea

I agree..in the worse case screnario 15 ppl will vote every minute 1 time..creating a continuous flood..but then the entire team must be willing to participate, which doesnt sound like it would happen or that they would mind)

In pure pub you tend to find more actual basers than you do 'newbs'. If you want to do this, configure a bot or make a new bot so that when you tk 5 times, you get put into spec OR not allowed in that ship for 15 min. Do it another 5 times, which would be 10 tks, be put in spec, with no choice of playing at all, so there are consquences but it would not be decided by the team. Thats a stupid idea, but configureing the bot to put people into spec after so many 'tks' I dont think is that bad of an idea...

Nah, the voting shouldnt be added to the bot if it ever comes up.. because of the flooding.

But like I said the bot should do it automaticly, and if you tk'd your freq 5 times you'd be put on say ship #1 for a few minutes and if it cotinues the time will increase.. and if you tk'd your team by accident 5 times hehe (which is doubtful that you did it by accident 5 times), you can do a ?help call for a mod to like !release <name> or something.

I'm sure this will stop the tk'ers and if that x-radar thing for javs comes up that would help in a way or two, too.
