look people, if its anyone to bash it should be me not kim/evasive, they put hard work into this jt to help out and I thank them. matter of fact I told them to put good people in so the "random" people dont fill in

Why do you even whine... merce and cape atleast belong in the final... or atleast make sure that final tournament will be at a high level of competiveness... In my oppinion the staff should pick the "good" players they know first... and let the rest pm them.... cause that way the better ppl get to play atleast and the fastest responding newbies aswell... thank you very much...

The only reason you are whining at this is because you probably lost to one of those 2 people... and thus couldn't win the tourny and get in the final tourny... If you would have won you wouldn't be whining... this way the better player got in atleast... which was the purpose of the javtourny anyways... so why whine?

the only thing that may seem a little "rigged"is that i just purposely made them play eachother first round to make the javtourny more competitive for other people (cuz merce and cape own everyone else that was in)

You still got a chance to get in... but the "vets" get in the qualifying tournies first and then the person to pm first.... there were enough tournies to qualify in for the final tourny... but if every tourny had a player in it that was better then you or beat you... you just don't deserve to be in the final tourny...
The final tourny was supposed to be for the best people... Same as people whining about supreme being in it... He doesn't belong there and he will get a first round exit vs whoever he has to play...

Maybe he doesn't have the skill to make it to the final tourny but paradise probably wanted to play. Of all fairness I was there and on a chat with cape he said he didnt pm evasive he just auto got in to play merce. I guess that explains why when i go alias i won't get put in.

If paradise had pmed me in the first 16, he would have gotten to play too, but his genetics cause him to have slow reflexes (There's a great line in one of the Dirty Harry films (Magnum Force, I think) where Clint Eastwood says "a man's gotta know his limitations...")

About this...In "The Ultimate 1v1 Javelin Tournament" Oranje posted some logs where it showed this 'rigged' thing but seems like he has deleted em.

But let's say it short: 1st qualifier, 60 players or so in arena, there are some bot problems and Kronic comes 5 minutes after 'game over' - he gets in by pm'ing Kim to add him. And how do I know this - he pasted the stuff in sk8 chat.

I can't believe I have slow reflexes 6 times because I've got in many times in ?go tournament with about the same amount of players there.

You still got a chance to get in... but the "vets" get in the qualifying tournies first and then the person to pm first....

All I saw was them adding like 12 well-known javs and then filling rest with random ppl. Of course it's great to go there, wait like 20 mins to see nothing but javs get added and then leave. Perhaps they should have included 'DO NOT BOTHER TO COME UNLESS YOU ARE A JAV FROM TWL SQUAD' in advert.

But I guess someone once said that the hosts can make their own rules in events they are hosting.

Nice post Tahkis. I tried to get into the tournament once cause I was bored, and I pm'ed 0.01 secs after game over, I highly doubt 16 people were faster than me.

With the old tourny where the mods hosted for fun, I always got in, they ACTUALLY added the first 16.

Do like Tahkis says and call it "jav tourny for javs from TWL squads" next time, it's sad to see something like this hosted where the host picks the 16 instead of taking the first 16 who PMs.

I would be angry if I was some random newbie jav who's actually good and could win who showed up 16 times without getting picked, cause of the ass mods picking the 16 himself/herself (Aquatiq).

You guys are missing the point, this event is organized to see who the best javs are ( >>>ULTIMATE<<< 1v1 jav tournament). Its not an ordinary event hosted for pubbers.

Vets only get motivated with hard matches, not by fighting random players. I think you have a good enough judgment to know if youre good enough to qualify and smart enough to know when to stop whining at something that doesnt concern you.

Yeah.. I don't think they're missing the point. If they say first 16 then that's what they should do. Heh, well actually if I'm going to be completely honest, I'm fine with staff rigging tournies some in the spirit of better competition, but only if like all the first 16 are nobodies, ok throw a good player in there too that was like 18th instead of the 16th guy, but don't just hand out free passes to all your jav buddies. Normally a couple good players will be in the first 16, and if some guys who are just going to go 0-10 make it in instead, oh well.

I think if you had played in one tourny you shouldnt have been able to play in the others. Some people got to play like 5 times and qualify that way. Eventually you gonna get the lucky by getting some ez opponents. I know for a fact in some tournys i pmed faster than some people who got in.

Yeah next time make it a tourny for javs from TWLJ squads so I'd stop getting owned.
