At the same time though staffers know who would make a good cap and who wouldnt... Maybe instead of giving it to the first random kid you, could PM a couple of decent players you know would do a good job and ask them if they would cap?

I agree with you though, I've been in situations where nobody says cap for a while.

I'm not going to waste time pming 5-10 people I think are responsible caps waiting for two yes' back from them, thats unrealisitic. Furthermore, what if somebody is a good cap, but I don't know they're responsible? They just never get the chance, how is that fair?

I think the best thing I can do is go with the most responsible people I can find who ask for cap. if I'm capping someone I don't know very well, i'll stick around and make sure that the picks go alright. Everybody needs a chance guys, someone gave you one.

It would be much easier to be a good (newb) cap if 3 things happened

1. PEOPLE REPLY TO YOU WHEN U ASK WHAT SHIP CAN THEY PLAY/WANT

2. PEOPLE USE !notplaying when they are afk

(OR the bot indicated how long that player has been afk. That way i could see after adding someone it said has been afk 20 mins to switch them for someone else.)

3. PEOPLE DIDNT PM U 1000 TIMES ASKING FOR JAV OR WB


those 3 things would make life alot easier for us poor newb caps.

I've often ended up capping in ?go base as no one else wanted to cap.

Then people would whine at me for chosing the wrong people of putting people in crap ships. im like wtfz if u wanted to cap fucking say so. I even offer to !setcaptain but they dont want -_-

I dislike capping so I virtually never do it, but I'm sure last time I capped it actually did tell you how long they'd been idle.

You only get that in TWD (where u least need it bizarrly). not in ?go base / ?go wbduel /?go spidduel / ?jo javduel
