If it's the former, can we keep it on track please, or if it's the latter, please let us know so the thread can be closed and everything you've bothered to write can be summarily ignored.

All the Twl Ops are doing a wonderfull job in my opinion. But I have to say the "spam and get banned" rule is... well nonsense. We've had people spam before and after Twl games all the seasons I witnessed. It's part of Twl and I don't think any Twl Host should enforce the rule. I sure as hell won't. The rule got "created" in a act of rage. And if we were going to ban spammers during Twl games, Trench Wars rules state that before you can ban a person for spamming, he or she needs to be warned first. If it would "durty" the Twl Logs Files so much, a host could just use *lockpublic if it gets out of hand and the public player is able to ignore the pub chat aswell.

well after the game is over the twl rules no longer apply. so when blueout comes off and someone spams how can you ban them for it? I totally would understand this before the game even starts, but it isnt even really important then. I just dont see why you would have a policy that your hosts are going to refuse to enforce. It just BEGS for people to cry bias when they get banned and someone else doesnt (say someone says 3 lines real fast after a game and a host in a squad who plays them in a different league later on bans them for it). And also if everyone just played the game and after it was over said 'gg' and left, this game would be very boring.

To Sarien: This is a problem caused by one staff member, and it isn't bashing, it is wondering how it is being allowed, so of course it turns into a little bit of bashing.

To Dyers: Thanks, I think that more staffers should pick do what dyers is doing and just refuse to ban people for having fun before matches, and if we can get a higher up forum mod to step in and make sure Nethila doesn't stand tossing every TWL thread that has some shit talking in it to the trash talking forum, that would be nice also. Trenchwars will revolt against Nethila's unfairness!

As a well known shit talker and smack talker id like to say this.

The shit talk in this game for me has died down massively. With eelam gone from Pandora i am now only left with Spikey and KawGay. Now for me this is bad news i liked the rivalry and enjoyed trying my hardest to beat someone. The feeling when i was in squads in my younger days of beating dice was great and it was an underdog story. Now however the younger squads have no one to fight with. EVERYONE IS TOO NICE. Be fucking mean to people, i am.

Also for me twl spamming is a tradition. I remember to twld final where 250+ people spammed good game, i spammed out and missed most of it but when i got back it was still going!1one!! This bs rule this season is taking for me a traditional part of twl away, and i dont like it. At the final im spamming gg and i dont care if i get banned, its tradition.

If you'd like to play the "Oh, well the game is over" crap, then I'm sure you'll understand that TW rules apply after TWL games. Rule #5 (conviently located in A1 of any public arena) - ...Deliberate and Excessive Spamming of Public or Private Channels...is illegal.

As a host, when I'm trying to pay attention to chat and I see 5 lines of GG, etc. and I only have about 8 lines (can't alt-tab if I need to watch someone), how hard does it become for me to do things correctly? Do you honestly need to have 'fun' at the possible exepense of a host making a mistake? Also, I'm sure those who need to read the logs TWL hosts send love to sort through all that crap to find what info they need.

I'm not attacking you Punk, that for a starter. But I was wondering, what chat are you watching? While hosting Twl, the host should be on a private freq, leave all his chats except staff chat and when blueout is in effect there is no public chat to watch...

The only "crap" they need to filter is located at the beginning (which can be disabled by the host if it gets out of hand) and at the end when the game is over and no important information is recorded. To be honest, there is hardly any annoying continuesly spam at the beginning of a game.

Spam is just as much part of a Twl game then any other aspect of Twl in total. People that don't like the "GG" spam can leave when the game is over and blueout is disabled. If they can't stand the spam in spec freq, they can ask the host to be put on a private freq.

You make some good arguments Dyers. The only things I do not find acceptable is as much as some people here don't want special rules in place during TWL games, I don't want the rules to not be in effect during TWL because it is seen as a "tradition". I think the bigger issue here is that our system for warning and banning is out of date and is always abused by the players, esspically with racism and spamming. It's a joke to them and that has to change or we will end up with more conflicting rules.

The chats I'm talking about are staff chat and any PMs I get during the match from players, captains, etc. I am always on a private freq.

You'd be surprised how quickly people can spam GG before I can end my logs.
