I hate all these dumb threads about changing TW, and nothing gets done about it. It's pointless for someone likke Pure_Luck to make a thread about it....and still nothing is changed.

TW is dying. That's a fact. It's getting extremely boring.

Baseelim is dead.

No one plays hosted events like they used to. I rememver WW3 had HUNDRED of people and .?go zombies easily got 100+ every time.



Drastic change would be needed to fix this zone.

Dock>, Pure_Luck Priitk are you willing to make these changes? Probably not. Thats why it's dying and you can't even see it. Step down from staff positions. It's not that you are bad staffers....it's just your not what's best for this zone. If you can't see it, your not looking hard enough or you are looking TOO MUCH into it.

Let "cooler" people take over. People that actually have a personality. Someone that isn't afriad to push the "norm" of the zone. (i.e. Playing with a smilely face, being polite, and following every rule ) NO....No one is like that.....grow up this game is played by teenagers in MODERN DAY society. We all victims of sexual jokes, racism, being mean, being funny, etc. This isn't 1930 and all don't have clean-cut hair and dress nicely to go to school. Get the fuck out of staff if your a true nerd that follows rules because that kind of life is boring as fuck. Trench Wars shouldn't be a day care center or a place you should recommend to parents to show their kids. Have some fun.

The zone is turning into a fucking robotic boring place. Bots are killing this zone, because you guys put them in place. Stop hosting multiple NEWBIE Basing games. I hope this thread is heard by the more active players in tw that have been around for a while......and not newbies that run these forums, the ones that post 300 times a day with their opinions. Don't disagree with me just to suck up to staff

You might have made some valid points here, but strong rhetoric tends to lack the words "fuck," "newbie," and a support of racism and discrimination. Like I always say, if you're saying that racism is acceptable here, you are fostering its growth. This seems a lot more like a "wtf, i wuz bannzored bost" then something to be taken seriously given the attitude that you displayed.

I don't think that the staff is just sitting around jacking off, but I do think the staff has room to improve, especially in terms of player relations. I think that's the major hurdle the staff needs to get over; once players are on board with what staff wants to do, I think things will improve much faster and people will overall be more happy with the zone. Right now, though, the distance between and staff and players is proving to be quite an obstacle.

In other words, I'd say Genes, just relax. Even though things aren't improving as quickly as most of us would like, things are improving.

what is TW marketing good for if no one wants to take the time to teach people how to play? thats a big problem, sure you can tell people how to get here and all...but once they do, you will have them so attached to you they wont stop bugging you about how to play, and in the end they give up...iono do something

1) The only problem I see with bots is the fact that when they go down, hosts/refs are not willing to continue hosting/reffing manually. I can see situations where you need a bot and are unable to host/ref if it goes down. But there are certain games where you can probably fairly easily manually host. Teach more ERs and refs the manual commands.

2) Can I suggest that every day someone hosts 1 or 2 events that can handle 50+ players? Hosting warzone for ex, every weds at 4 est would give ppl a set schedule to attend these "big" events. Also posting the winners in forums and on the website would help give recognization and get ppl to wanna win. Even little things like making a special banner for the winners of these events could improve the competition.

most events beeing host now are jav arena's, not zombies or basing games. have been playing alot this week and didn't play that much zombies or basing games...



About the client update: so you want to change sounds and grahpics? go to your continuum folder -> sounds or -> graphics WOW priitk put all the sounds and graphics in there so everybody could get customised s & g :O and I like the sounds as they are now :/ and even the grahpics... that's what makes this game so fun (?) it's a 2d game I dont' want any huge graphical changes.

well i do. you must be able to choose if you want the current graphics or not obviously. the graphic engine is old. it wasnt even up to date anymore when continuum came out. modifing pixels in bitmaps has a limit somewhere. a dynamic zoom in/out functionality in game would be quite awsome for example. or just some nice explosions, 3d effect explosions.

other good hosters are: acumo (even tho' he still fuck up once in a while), barton, pascone, falk, dim (to bad he dissapears once in a while)
who used to be good hosts: awesome, tiger, adam, harumi, lunar, ... lots more but these are my allt ime favourites.

Where'd you get the idea about TW being ran by 12 year olds? And why is this thread about good or bad hosts now?

The point is that this zone is following the rules too much. It's boring.
But I don't see how changing Pure_Luck would do anything to help getting more population.
Ok these zone is to robotic. Most of them staffers host same arena's all the time. This whole marketing thing is not gonna work. What we need is the arena's, the hosting "style" from years ago. Do those boths away... Messagebot and stuff.
