I hate all these dumb threads about changing TW, and nothing gets done about it. It's pointless for someone likke Pure_Luck to make a thread about it....and still nothing is changed.

TW is dying. That's a fact. It's getting extremely boring.

Baseelim is dead.

No one plays hosted events like they used to. I rememver WW3 had HUNDRED of people and .?go zombies easily got 100+ every time.



Drastic change would be needed to fix this zone.

Dock>, Pure_Luck Priitk are you willing to make these changes? Probably not. Thats why it's dying and you can't even see it. Step down from staff positions. It's not that you are bad staffers....it's just your not what's best for this zone. If you can't see it, your not looking hard enough or you are looking TOO MUCH into it.

Let "cooler" people take over. People that actually have a personality. Someone that isn't afriad to push the "norm" of the zone. (i.e. Playing with a smilely face, being polite, and following every rule ) NO....No one is like that.....grow up this game is played by teenagers in MODERN DAY society. We all victims of sexual jokes, racism, being mean, being funny, etc. This isn't 1930 and all don't have clean-cut hair and dress nicely to go to school. Get the fuck out of staff if your a true nerd that follows rules because that kind of life is boring as fuck. Trench Wars shouldn't be a day care center or a place you should recommend to parents to show their kids. Have some fun.

The zone is turning into a fucking robotic boring place. Bots are killing this zone, because you guys put them in place. Stop hosting multiple NEWBIE Basing games. I hope this thread is heard by the more active players in tw that have been around for a while......and not newbies that run these forums, the ones that post 300 times a day with their opinions. Don't disagree with me just to suck up to staff

Isn't this your 5th thread suggesting the same bullshit? We get it Genes, you hate Pure_Luck. Cooler people running the show may give you a sense of the zone being more lively and interesting but in reality we don't need implusive Sysops fucking things up, breaking the rules or ignoring the group. We had that before DoCk>, Ari and Priitk and it sucked, honestly TW was crap with staffer abuse. If you compare PL to any of them or even GS he's a fucking saint.

Maybe this game is no longer interesting to you, it has become less of an addiction for me lately but I still play on when I have the free time as a Moderator and I actually find some fun in playing the game. You should try it sometime. Is there anything besides giving the zone over to someone "cooler" that you can suggest?

I think it's pretty safe to assume that when your biggest complaints include the words "newbie" and "nerd" that you're on the incredible side of wrong.

what is TW marketing good for if no one wants to take the time to teach people how to play? thats a big problem, sure you can tell people how to get here and all...but once they do, you will have them so attached to you they wont stop bugging you about how to play, and in the end they give up...iono do something

Well to be honest the zone clearly is in need of change, and i can see pl and other staff members are trying to do something about that. Things are happening slowly, i think the population is rising and im playing hosted events, not Fizzys cause all he hosts is fucking javs. But hosts like Kyace who host real tw events are the ones we need, Kyace is a really good host at the moment and i enjoy playing his original games. When he first advertised cnr only 20 people came, by the end of it there were 40. Im sure if he hosted it again hed get 50+. You need to host a variety of different stuff cause the old people are bored of the same events over and over.

i think that if you want p_l to step down from staff position.. tw will dy within a year, why? do you know somebody else who wants to be online all day trying to come up with things that would improve the zone? almost never be able to play because you are to buzzy trying to solve problems for players who after the changes STILL whine that it's not good enough... problem is not only staff, but players itself! why can't you get 100+ people in zombies again? don't know, maybe some players think: 'beih this zone is dying i'mn ot going to events anymore' well, if you see zombies getting hosted just type ?go zombies simple as that. and I think tw will grow again since I already seeing 80+ people in events again.. that's a start. and I think P_L and all other staff members are doing a good job, maybe the improvements are going slow since a lot of good hard working staff left, meaning arilou, qan, melo, 2dragons, dock>, and a lot lot more but just can't think of right now. so maybe instaed of blaming staff for all your problems you should think your in the same possition as p_l..

and about tw beeing runned by 12 years old who think they are cool.. that must be the worst idea i've ever heard! they would just go in pub doing *super and *ufo just becuz they think it's cool.. cool people don't follow rules you know -_-


other good hosters are: acumo (even tho' he still fuck up once in a while), barton, pascone, falk, dim (to bad he dissapears once in a while)
who used to be good hosts: awesome, tiger, adam, harumi, lunar, ... lots more but these are my allt ime favourites.

imo tw will never be as good as it was 4-5 years ago...

i never liked genes. this said, this game is getting old. the lack of people is not only made by the zones itself, people are leaving and new people rather play WoW(those weirdos). maybe we must think of an client update as long as there are still enough People interested in this game. and as the biggest zone and therefore competence center it is up to us do do this. when Subspace was getting unplayable due to cheats and stuff priitk stepped up and made continuum, an huge improvement(transparent radar, OMG) that also brought new people, and which also got him a nice job.

i am mainly thinking about a grapic and sound update, we dont want to touch the deeper game engines. the problem is a) implementing something without the source code into an hack protected system would not be so easy and b) implementing and drawing new graphics must be even worse and c) not destroy anything (bots events, etc). next to other things, but it could be done, i know a lot of people here would have the skill to do it but probably lack the time. if it takes 5 years to get done, fine. we are not in a hurry, but i think we should start any time soon (maybe i will do it some day, but alone can only fail).

i think the look of this game has become a big problem for new players, and for me too. yes, no?

PS: the new ER's are great, but zizzo beats them all.

I think that even though Genes post is, for the most part, trash, he offers some valid points.

Bots have slowly killed TW. Initially, bots were ok, as they were used only to help staffers when hosting events. I even remember events without bots (!). When I think about those times, bots are an obvious help as everything runs more smoothly and quickly. Having bots constantly in about five arenas, though, sucks. I can't really describe it... things are just no longer fun when all you do is have a bot run things. Tourney, for example. That just sucks. I actually had fun when <ER>s hosted tournaments, even though I never got to play. Sitting in an automated arena, though, is not as fun. But then again, that's my opinion. I think that removing several of the automated arenas would lessen that sense of automation that is present throughout TW.

I'll be honest, I used to hate P_L. I thought he was a fag, and that he did a terrible job as staff coordinator. After returning from a year-long hiatus, though, I can genuinely say that I think he's trying his hardest to improve the zone. Does it always work? No, but not all ideas work or are useful. I don't think that the staff is just sitting around jacking off, but I do think the staff has room to improve, especially in terms of player relations. I think that's the major hurdle the staff needs to get over; once players are on board with what staff wants to do, I think things will improve much faster and people will overall be more happy with the zone. Right now, though, the distance between and staff and players is proving to be quite an obstacle.

In other words, I'd say Genes, just relax. Even though things aren't improving as quickly as most of us would like, things are improving.

Edit: Fluffz, I think a client update would be a good idea.

PL and Dock> are making people follow the rules because that's how the normal people live. I agree TW needs a change, but you can't change the rules by which you live.
