yeah there were no "official" weekend events because crazi wasn't around so i couldn't figure stuff out with him. i found this all out saturday afternoon, so saturday night i hosted a bunch of waldo stuff and a few other things so we at least had a little weekend action going on.

i'm tryin' dudes. i'm really tryin'.

There are a few people that try, but still, it's not enough.

And when you have nobody in base, all the people shouting ez, whining, and arguing in elim, there's nothing but events to look forward to. And most of the time, there's none at night.

mini-disclaimer before all of you go HOST HOST HOST: im on vacationish thingie.

To most of you, the comments are probably reviewed and thus, staff action has been taking place recently, or so it seems. But the fact of the matter is, all this complaining doesn't make an ER want to host more. I, for one, get so mad when all i see/hear is people complaining and saying they can do better if they can get staff. The thing is, I believe, ERs have lives, they host when they can because hosting doesn't exactly always end quickly, so there are always time considerations... furthermore, all this complaining doesn't get ERs to host more, it demotivates them. I get so sick of hosting even when i do go on hosting rampages on occasion because of all the whining and all the fuss. It gets really annoying after a while. For most of you, you don't know a thing about how staff actually runs, so you really shouldn't judge, because it is a lot more difficult than it seems. Ya, sure, powers are great to have, but with power comes responsibility...

The last two weeks or so have been a great opportunity for me to think and reflect back on my life because right now, im at a camp designed to influence positive change towards local communities, probably not online ones... but still communities. It just puts a lot of things into perspective. Put-downs are not a good way to motivate, and I guess it sometimes works to motivate higher staff to deal with lower staff. Seriously, I think the hosting situation before i left is fine, and currently, if i look at the stats, they look good too. To be honest, when I was home, i would try to host during all times, and for a bit i hosted WAY into the night after 12:00 a.m. EST. But the point is, the hosting situation is good right now although I haven't been on continuum for a bit. Just a little thing to remember... this game wasn't designed to meet your and only your personal needs. So stop complaining, be more considerate to those who do host for you and just appreciate. Gee...

This wasn't directed at anyone in particular. I realize, typing this is kind of hypocritical, seeing that im trying to get people to stop complaining and whining... but to be honest... it's SO stupid.

I was pleasantly surprised the other night by Caco <ER>, even though we have had a few words back and forth the other night I was in the mood for Hockey, caco came to the arena, and didn't know how to host it. He actually took the time to learn how to host hockey (from me :P), and did a damn good job of it. As for hosting as a total though, it just seems like the same events are being hosted time and time again, not enough variation or originality is being put into games, because its easier to just turn on a bot module that is already there to get a host. :/ And we haven't even been getting alot of that lately.
