My dad would always end an angry argument by saying "you always HAVE to have the last word, don't you!" And if I said anything after that, I would just prove him right! Fucking frustrating as hell. I hate that argument. You dare the other person to respond and thus prove you right, and if he doesn't then you get the last word for yourself. The other person can't even step in and mention the hypocrisy of it, because then you'd just say he's trying to get the last word in again.
