Seasonal Subspace

I thought of an idea that might lower the costs to run the TW server.

Have a only 6-8 months of the year devoted to subspace. During this time have a normal preparation time before TWD or TWL starts, say 2-3 months, and then for the remainder of the season have TWL and end the season with the TWL finals for that season. Then everyone will say good bye to tw for 4-6 months. During this time the server wont be operational so priitk wont have to pay for anything. It starts up next year.

Problem's I've thought of:
This will probably hinder or stop the number of new people who play trench wars.
There may not be enough time to finish things due to cancellations, server crashes and the like.
People may not come back to their old squads if after the 4-6 month down period they decide they're finished with subspace, which creates spaces to fill for TWL.

i dunno just something I thought may decrease the costs of renting a server for TW.

People will leave the game and won't come back,
Operating Subspace for a few months an year is similar to shutting it down completely, that's at least my point of view.
But a nice idea, it's good that people care

I also disagree, the leages are good, but not every single player is playing it (me included). People just want to play the game when they want to, it is not an obligation to play, and when you feel up to it you can now. Shutting that down is, what Zeb also said, killing the community.

You're all forgetting that Trench Wars IS NOT Subspace. There are many other zones out there that offer free gaming for the players.

Granted, TW has most people in it than any other zone, but please....note the difference between the two.

If I would stop playing for 4 moths, I wouldnt start playing again, I think, I would have just forgotten about the game

People would definitely leave SS if that was to happen.

Also, what about all the people who are addicted to SS? They would go through withdrawls and probably kill some innocent people since they can't do it on SS. People like KevinHP, Jeffhardy and the other person who always have the most points by far.
