Simple solution, picture comments need moderator approval before being posted, that way myself and Ronaldo can minimize the psychological damage.

A 1-10 rating scale would be nice and the caption box would work well, but the comments wouldn't do too well, since you don't want to hurt people's feelings.:crying:

if you don't want comments on your picture then don't send in your picture.. If I find a funny p icture I can just use the link and post it in trash talk. maybe like a search function, because I don't think there is one atm. And yeah make the layout better then this one, because the 5 random pics at the top of the page are just stupid

Just an update on the gallery status. I still have lots of names to sift through and remove due to size/being retarded etc. Also, thanks to Galaxy Turbo, the gallery has a new layout and is nearly completed. I want to use this sticky as a way that the general public can leave some constructive critism, suggestions, etc. I see some 800 people have viewed this thread, but very little of you leave anything for me to work with. I realize that the Gallery is not the attraction that brings people to TW, but I really want to make it a fun place to stop by for our players, so please, leave me some feedback!

No kidding, this creates more hassel and a bigger waste of time on both parts then just to resize the pictures yourself. It takes longer for both parties, as you have to check for the oversized picture, remove it, then message the person, get the new picture, recheck its size, and finally add it. Dumb waste of time imo. Just resize the picture keeping its aspect ratio, and save everyone trouble. As well you'll end up removing a bunch of people who don't play anymore, but we still want to see on the gallery. How stupid can you get :/

I just have a note for anyone who wants to submit a picture to the gallery. On the submission form where it asks you to put your name. Please only put THE NAME YOU USE TO PLAY TW. For example, if Kim submits a picture, he should submit under that name, not any of his aliases. Also, please refrain from putting ALL of your aliases as your name, e.g Lizard Fuel/Eric Jeter/Learn. Its creating doubles and triples and creating a lot of un-needed work for me and Ronaldo. Thanks in Advance

Well I put way more of my time into this gallery than had originally wanted to do, and I'm sure not doing it for my own shits and giggles. With the way the gallery is set up at the moment, to personally resize every photo that doesnt meet my standards, I would have to:

1. Save it to my desktop
2. Remove it from the Gallery
3. Resize it
4. Re-submit it for that person
5. Access admin section to approve it again

I am not going to do that for every single photo that needs it. I promise to make the gallery a fun place to stop by for all of Trench Wars, but I refuse to spend hours cropping and resizing photos for some players who have not played in months/years.

As people vital people in my chain of command start returning from christmas break, the gallery will start changing. We have a new layout made by Galaxy Turbo and the features will be coded by eragon most likely. I assure you I am doing everything I can to square away OUR gallery.
