Squad recruiting

Well, most of the top squads will recruit based upon how well the person is known. That's why people need to have a shorter nickname that is easier to remember... And they also can't be chaning names every other week. Whether your reputation is good or bad, its better to be known than not to be known at all.

You can't always be lucky... but the first people you want to look to join are the people that want to join YOUR squad... not have you as a backup squad if they can't make it to some other squad... those are the people that are going to help your squad the most and to let it prosper.

Second, look for someone that is active. As well with loyalty, you can't always be lucky to pick up HUGE talent, but if they're active and willing to get better, then they're usually better than someone with talent already that hardly plays.

Last, if you can't find a combo of these two, or even one... then perhaps you should let someone on your squad that will perhaps make your squad look good... someone that's an advertiser, he/she might not be the loyalist person, but he/she will attract those squaddies that you want in the long run.

Arrogant people... as long as they don't bring your whole squad image down, keep them. Sometimes it's fun to have them, sometimes it can become a nusiance... it's really up to you to keep them or not... but remember, even it's a good player, never let anyone bring your squad's integrity and morale down.

Real opinions would be good for this topic. What do you think squads should recruit for (Eg Skill , vet players, well know people).

Well I think you should recruit friends because usually friends can play better together

if it is a new squad they should make a small foundation of players who know each other and have a similar skill level. once that is done recruit people on a trial basis, and axe them if they dont have the right mind for what you are doing. axe them if they beg for ships, dont listen, or dont care to take time to improve their ability. also i would say that pallies is not "so good" at dueling, and any superiority they do have is not as a result of them being friends... its cause they recruited duelers. other squads get along too you know, its not like pallies are the only ones.

You can have the 4 best warbirds in the game, but if they can't.

a.) get along
and/or
b.) work together as a cohesive unit

then you can be taken out by a squad that works together well, but isn't as "skilled".

You gotta think about how your group would change for the better (or worse) if you add "player x" in. You always gotta take account of if the player will get along and work well with others. Not go around and find "vet player x" who will be an asshole to all the players and go off like Rambo.

Interface is recruiting, I am a cap and we are recruiting the people with following qualities:

1) 2500+ usage on that name (at least 50% of the total usage is not afk)

2) good at 2 out of the following 3 events:

squad base duel
squad duel duel
squad jav duel

3) Active (at least 2 hours SS playing a day on average)

4) 3 months minimum stay. You can squad hop after that. But if you leave before 3 months elapsed, I will make the whole squad hate you.

You couldn't be more wrong stabby. We are about 30 active members and like 50 over all. We have 10 staff members at the moment. Mostly got staff before joining Paladen. Crap about "Join paladen and get staff" is so lame and not true, ask the ones who tried (a lot) and you'll change your mind.

Maybe not these days but about 2 years ago, stab would be right.
