Hey. I've been having a bitch of a time trying to get my sound to record at decent volumes. I don't know what the problem is. So if you have good sound recording/microphone quality, I'd appreciate for you to post some specs of the setups you have, so I can get a better idea of what kind of system to get.
I started off just using a Logitech Precision PC headset with an Asus A8N-SLI Premium mobo. The sound quality was kinda sucky and low, but with everything boosted up to max and holding the mic really close, I could get ok sound. Then I added a Creative SoundBlaster Audigy SE sound card, and the sound quality got even worse and lower. No sound is distinguishable without yelling into the mic. I've fucked around with all the mixer controls enough to feel confident it's completely a hardware issue, and not a control panel/mixer issue.
If you have decent mic recording volume, please include the brand and model of mobo, mic and soundcard you have. I'd like to get a decent set up so I can throw a radio demo together and maybe even host a show.
