maybe you can give thet iles are much nicer look by just LVZ'ing it.. and int he future its much earsier to update since you can just type it instead of tiling it.. wich takes like forever.

Making them into .lvz will make the arena download a lot bigger and players with bad connections wouldn't want to wait for it.

I made this clear when we were updating them.

EDIT: You can test this with ?go goldlevs .. Even though there are ships that make the .lvz bigger, it takes enough time to download with a connection such as 512k (forever). It takes me 30 seconds with a connection of 6M and being European.
Removing the ship .lvz's from it, and adding about 15 times the amount of text, it would probably even make the arena download bigger.

EDIT: (goldlevs) .lvz alone takes 26 seconds to download for me.
With map on it, 28.
For The Unliked One... it took double that time to download it with 512/256kbps conn.

That's true Duel but it's just one more thing that could break. The rules are not updated all that often anyways and maybe it will force future writers to pay closer attention to the wording.

As for this lawyer thing, Anonymous I'm sorry to say is chiefly misguided on what the rules are in this zone and how staff implements them. Explain your problem (yourself) clearly in an email and don't waste text on stupid things.

If you really try you can compress the image to like 12-20kb. Thats like max 3-6 sec dl. Just test it.. If you change the rules it's better to dl just the .lvz than the whole map again.

you can make text look like 1000 times better with photoshop then with your limited tileset and limited 8bit colors

and now tuo is making a nice looking with one nice layout and one that looks very pretty, it will prolly take like what.. 6-7 seconsd? and you don't need the tiles anymore at A1 so that reduces the .lvl files like 12kb so its still only like I dunno roughly 5-6 seconsd to download.. not much more then it takes now

1) sigh, as I said ITS FOR TESTING! I could easly cut down the width of the image so it fits on one screen not much work.

2) again, its for testing kid. Not gonna use some leet ubber hax font just for explaining my lvz scenario.

3) I used special tiles from dcme as you can see on the map. It's not gonna up the size of the map alot sertifi

edit: OH tuo just finished his lvz.. only 4kb .. thtas 1/3 of the rules in tiles.

Not anymore With my suggestion DCME added in "text-tile" define ur alpha-numeric tiles, bind them to ur keys and click then type...
