Pure Pub isnt so pure

Lol your in luck then. Because i was watching for a whole 3 weeks or so before i even posted.

In that case I propose a new change for TrenchWars Forums!

New members must wait at least one full year before they are allowed to post. This does a number of things for the TW Forum community:

1. Allows newbie posters to get familiar with the atmosphere here.
2. Saves them from reposting ideas that got shot down in previous years ( or days )
3. Saves them from getting flamed. Saves us from flaming them.
4. Allows the current community to focus on more productive threads, such as weather or not QS should be allowed in TWL, or weather sertifi deserves staff.
5. Less members posting = less useless topics. Which also means less useless replies.

Lol .. you should just have a lock on creating new threads and you're only allowed to post in existing threads for a couple weeks until you figure out that 99.9% of your ingenious ideas have already been beaten to death years ago.

Reason why you get tked more by javs than levis is because there are no levis to tk you with in pure pub.

It's called pure pub because it's pure basing pub, a javelin, to be effective has to either be in base or shoot from roof -but in spots where it's still vulnerable to enemy (jav)fire-. A Levi on the other hand always ends up bombing somewhere far from base, where no baser can counter it.
In order to keep levies from shooting the base, you would have to hunt them, hunt is not the same event as base, thus it wouldn't be a pure basing pub anymore. And because of the many portals and the speed of a terrier, it's still very likely that hunting a Levi will not stop it from killing out base.

We found out, by experience, that Levi arena's aren't as successful as pure arena's. It's been tried out, and everyone -that isn't completely and utterly clueless about the game- will choose for the pure arena.
So the removal of the Levi is what makes pure pub the favorite arena, it would still be favored over a normal pub with a timer.
The Levi isn't a basing ship. Just like a nuclear bomb isn't a tactical weapon, you just don't shoot nuclear bombs as air support to your troops.

Give it a rest, just because 3% of the population loves to use the Levi, we shouldn't facilitate them to abuse the other 97%. Because that's where it's all about.

How bout one day a week have levs in all pub arenas? This would change up game play in pub 0. Leave the 2 pub freqs enabled of course. A team with a smart LT could own base and minimize tks. Ok tear my opinion apart now. :death:

Apart from the 3-4 lamers that wrote on here. This got some good hits. Yes we all know there are other arenas but a pure pub would be cleaner if there werent any tks at all. When you have new people in javs, they often kill there teammates more then the enemy. There should be like a 5 tk your out rule.

Public 0/1 is not a default and if "newbies" as you call them have no idea about pure publics or about arena names it's likely they don't know how to move out of them (or that Trench Wars is a lot more then public arenas). We have also testing with other publics with the same result, none levi public arenas are sought after more.

We have also tried an automated system for setting people to different ships once they tk too much, the results were not good so we have stuck with moderators warning/banning tkers. The bots are still there to make those tasks easier.

If it's pure, it should be the same as ?go base. And since people use javs in base, they can in pure pub!
