      Ignore the angry posts Moot, I'm not a good person without cigarettes.

      Atleast take something out of this, and free up some ship changes. With unlimited basing going on, you will be in situations that forces you to change to another ship. Keep us in the loop on what you're planning to do, and when. As a community we feel far more included when we get regular updates on our suggestions and what the progress is on making it work. Thanks for replying.

        Like I mentioned above, it makes sense to give the bonus to someone who has been on the same frequency to keep flag, regardless of what ship they've played.

          i agree partially to this. However, i dont think most pubbers have 1000 hrs, and this will probably discourage them.

          Instead, what if we initiate a strategy thats some of the other zones has already implements? For example, you have the opportunity to fly in the basic fighter ships, shark, and and terr at each score reset. Javs can only be obtained thru certain amounts of points.

          Or like octabase, javs can be set as rewards given to the top scorer(s) in each freq. This not only decreases the chance of tk, it also increases the competition to hold flag.

            To agree with someone's post, I came back to pub when it was made pure. I didnt really learn as a newbie how to play til I joined a basing squad and then sat in go base waiting to be picked and watching those guys play.

            Anyways, I like the idea of switching a player who tks a lot..say more than 3 tks in a minute. If they exceed then they are restricted from jav and have to wait out a "cool off" period of perhaps 2 mins. I think that would help players learn to use more judgment and better shots.

            On a side note, usually I can get people to cooperate and stop doing dumb things (sharks mining flags, javs shooting into cram) after I ask nicely a few times..others I have to warn :/

              I'd just want to throw in that whenever I play in pub's I try to point out advantages of using spiders and what javelins should think about(how will the bomb bounce? Are there sharks to rep it? Is it safe for my team?...) I also try persuading people to be "team heros" by sharking. I mean, why not try to help if you're there anyways.

                I would like to see more points awarded by the bot to people who shark, currently the best ship to rec whore with is the javelin, if you are a shark you get no reward

                    Hm a lot of jav and sharks tk's happens when nmy's are killed. So it has to be a ratio between tk's and kills before you get specced. killing two full nmy-terriers and with 3 weasels of your own team isn't bad,but done in a minute.

                    I know MirrorriM ment something else, I am just saying that her idea is great, but if we just punish someone when he has 3 tks in a minute, things can become weird and other problems might be created. So if changes are made (and the changes that has to be made is the limiting of javs and their tk's) remember the ratio. (Because I tk a lot when I am a jav in Base but I also get a lot of kills.. )

                      About speccing tk'ers, we can't create bots that's so fancy that they can analyze each players' tk's, and act accordingly to the player history.

                      This is situations, and only the human mind can cope with the judgement of which tk's is ok, and which ones are not, and the magnitude og the tk, and the situation.

                      We need to make a clear message that if you get tk'd, report it asap, and that you don't report them for bans, just shpichanges. We should instead encourage our playerbase to use staff, and have enough staffers to help moderate these things in public arenas.

                      A flat 5 tk's per minute change could be ok, but nothing more fancy.

                      This entire thread is spinning offtopic to the good ol' spec the tk'ers discussion.

                      This thread was about the current reward system in pub discourages the players to switch ships to help out the team. Moot has already said that he's going to look into it.

                        True enough. I'd also like there to be:
                        • score decrements to tk's (someone mentioned this already)
                        • Fewer points for cloak kills (esp. of levs, but also of sharks, other ships who can't see them). Take away incentive to lame.
