Tourny 24/7

Eventhough I'm probably among the most tourny fanatic people in staff it's
better to keep it as a weekend event only. Simply because people get bored of
it when it's on all the time and it becomes less special. One of the main reasons
it was made a weekend only event was because it wasn't getting that many
players anymore when it was running 24/7. We've actually made tourny weekend
last a bit longer a couple of weeks ago, maybe you've noticed.

I'd personally rather play vs 20-50 skilled players, than 10-15.

I think this is a bit silly.

People who are afraid that something gets boring have the oppurtunity to not play tourny during the week. If you think its only fun from fri-sun than just don't type ?go tourny during the week.
(Btw: MOST events are dead compared to the turnouts in weekends, tourny will probably be no exception on that.)

For a player like me there is nothing else thats fun to do during the week. Baseelim is dead, javs is a useless arena, wbduel is not interesting, elim has no real competition, pubbing has no duelling aspect and like I said there is no arena that can compare with tourny (playing 2 vs 2 with random people). And TWD, well you need your squadmates to play a TWD game...

And so what if it dies out one day, just keep innovating. If it dies out no one will care anymore then anyways.

I am afraid it would smear out the already thin population in offtimes over more arenas, I mean come on, when elim has 5 players, javs has a few floating around, there does not seem to be a reason to have tourny also open to claim 3 players which could've made either one more fun.

soupero hit on an interesting point. allow 2v2 duels in ?go duel or a similar arena. This has been a hit in other zones as well.

hell you don't even need a bot, just throw a 2v2 arena out there in ?go 2v2 with 8-12 open boxes for people to 2v2 in, establish some rules to keep people from disrupting ongoing games, and at that point your only overhead is the space the new arena demands (not much)

I'd say veto, and working on getting regular hosts to host tournament games by hand as well. TournyBot is great and all, but I'd like to see ?go tournament or ?go javtourny hosted often as well. We'll see how that works out.

This is a terrible idea, absolutely terrible. If you eat McDonalds every day you will eventually get tired of it, unless you are Squadless but thats another story. Even Tourny on Weekends basically kills the effectiveness of a hosted tournament or javtourny down in the eyes of good players. This would be detrimental to the zone, you are just too short sighted to see it.

- eating at MC Donalds is 24/7 available too, but I don't do that either and Mc Donalds is not closed during the week;
- assuming that everyone would play tourny instead of other arenas and go bored implicates that you agree that the rest of TW is boring, otherwise people would still play other arenas as well;
- there are too few arenas where people are actually interested in doing something real competitive, elim has lost its charm and events are hardly being hosted (or aims at people from 8 years - 17 years old).

If you don't want to make tourny available 24/7 you agree that the rest of the zone sucks. If it's not gonna happen please combine elim and baseelim again and add shrap. (thats my alternative)
Perhaps you can add a 2 vs 2 elimination feature to elim and baseelim.
