    Trench Wars Hop Servers

    Once upon a time Trench Wars used to be the land of excitement, joy, relaxation and the place to meet people then kill them. However in the recent years and months, more and more players seem to either "retire" or "leave the game". This is a sad moment for all those longing for an all night round of either wbduel/javduel or base, even those who are event whores. However, nowadays more and more people are locked in spectator mode due to "You have been put in spectator mode due to high latency (C2S)" or High Packet Loss. This has especially affected players outside of the United States, where PINGS have doubled or even tripled for many players. With TWL just around the corner, this can mean multiple players unfortunately being "benched" purely and simply for Latency.


    E.g. - An Australian all-time low ping:

    PING Current:260 ms Average:260 ms Low:250 ms High:260 ms S2C: 0.0% C2S: 0.0%


    In recent Years/months:

    PING Current:860 ms Average:850 ms Low:780 ms High:920 ms S2C: 1.4% C2S: 0.0%

    This can only be assumed that the Trench Wars Hop Servers are not working as efficiently as previous years. What is there to be done about this!?

    What seems to be the problem with these Trench Wars Hop Servers?

    All of those IPs are in Australia; it has nothing to do with Trench Wars or its server.

          I get C2S around 3.5%-4.5% mon-thur and 2.0%-2.5% fri-sun.

          VERY ANNOYING! If it continues then ill prolly quit trenchwars.

                ever since they moved the server i've been getting serious packetloss problems on weekdays. http://forums.trenchwars.org/showthread.php?t=31340

                This NEEDS to be sorted out. Its only affecting the TW server. Other zones on other servers have zero lag for me.

                No point getting new people to play if they can't enjoy most of the zone.

                    The only server that moved recently that i know of is the webserver, not the Game server...

                      Maybe he just has a really bad concept of time, and he's talking about when they moved it from Europe to the (US) East coast.

                        Not to mention that Daldur's incomplete trace clearly shows that there is an issue with his connection. There is a 400ms lag between him and his gateway. Sort that shit out first before you complain about TW's server. Call and bitch to your ISP or whatever you have to do.

                          That shows the ping response in milliseconds using a website and it is around 100-120 ms roughly, whereas using the game I get over 600 regularly

                            It does have Hop Servers, they are servers used to assist in the sending and receiving of packets across internet gateways. That is why when I do a trace I get 6 servers and not just the 1 server which is Trench Wars Game Server.

                              no thats the path to the one and only tw game server, tw's does not own those hop servers u r talking about. therefore tw can do nothing about it
