You can't expect that we put up measures to help those who are incompetent as captains. Do you even know what kind of measures you are asking for, and how they going to be set in effect? It looks like you fucked up on a recruit, then you proceed to fail to take responsibility, and then you go on the forums and try to push your mistake on zone rules. Having no clue whatsoever on how the rules are, and the reason why they are made the way they are.

First of all, I did not personally recruit dean, nor would I have. I try to look at the good qualities in a person rather than to gloat on the negative. If It were not for that I would have axed Dean much sooner (when I had the password to the name that owns paladen).

Yes, of course I don't know the "rules" regarding this matter. That's why I made the post. Noah, had you paid closer attention to my post, I asked WHY there are not rules in place (with the exception of my type error in the second post I made). It was not meant to be a request, or an expectation, for rules like that to be put into place. I have played in many games that penalize players for acting in a similar way that dean did. I fail to see why Trench Wars is the only game today that can't handle being pro-active against players who make completely negative and degrading decisions that effect a large group of loyal players to this zone.

And even if upster is sick, you have been given the reposibility of leading while he are gone (I fail to see why), so don't try to go with a patethic excuse that you are just capping to he is comming back. You can compare that with saying "lol, this is not my car, I'm just parking his car" after you've crashed it.

This analogy has no comparison to the situation at hand. Do you actually have experience running a successful squad? If not, I don't really care what your opinion is in regard to running or capping a squad. I don't feel the need to clarify myself to a critics opinion, who has no personal experience to support it. I will say this, at no time did I say I was only "just capping to he is comming back." I said Upster owns the squad, I am capping it. I then explained the reason why I was unable to change the squad password, due to Upster's inactivity/health. I hope that cleared up your confusion regarding my post! Have a great day.

Server brought some things to the table, too. Brought some active WF players that energized the Cripples squad. Players such as Utopia, etc. Also, me too. I enjoyed my stay in cripples and would not have known a lot of the guys had it not been for Server. So, yes, while he might have made some mistakes, it was not a total loss.

And Server did turn out to be an ok guy, it just took him a while.
But still, when he first joined he axed a bunch of people without discussion and changed the pw without discussion or dissemination. That behavior does not meet the criteria that Lou describes in his post above and I don’t get a chance to bust Lou’s chops much!! :fear: :fear:

1) Make sure all captains have ?squadowner privileges (via a 'captain name'). If you do not have this access, you are not a captain. BTW, the squad pw should be a dynamic thing that is used only to recruit people and changed immediately after.

2) If the people who call themselves 'captains' aren't trustworthy enough to have ?squadowner access (ability to change squad pw or dissolve), they shouldn't be captains. If you're worried about your captains dissolving the squad, they SHOULDN'T BE CAPTAINS.

3) Solutions to people giving out your chat:

a) change it and stay on old one to tell people (also ?message other caps)
b) don't recruit any ol' fucktard
c) when someone gives out your chat, make a forum post making them out to be an asshole. this is to warn other caps what will happen if they recruit him. don't do it whinily begging for staff help though, that just makes you look bad and is a waste of effort.
d) have a public squad chat like ?chat=puma. problem solved?

4) Last but not least: be active and/or find active trustworthy people.
