if someone could code a bot to run both elim and belim at the same time in one arena.

people would have to enter via the bot though i guess, then the bot can handle where in the arena to warp the players. bot could restrict people from trying to enter one whilst already in the other, but give the player the option to remove themselves from the elim they're already in.

no arena messages announcing deaths and coords to reduce spam from the bot. give the player the option to pm the bot giving a list of players who are still in (with their kills/deaths if necessary) and another command for coords too.

have a scoreboard with the number of players remaining in baseelim and elim.

keep zone messages when a new one starts, and optional pms to the player. would also need to tell the player to enter the command to the bot to enter (!enter belim / !enter elim)
(btw the distention beta pm's i get are annoying, is that something i signed up to or do i automatically get them because i played it once?)

the actual arena would be permanently locked, bot would add the player and spec.

it's a hell of a workload for the bot, perhaps too much, it'd probably blow up.

The player base is getting lower and lower, by merging the elims you might as well just say fuck it all. Merging the elims will not bring the vets back, it will only irritate the few new players that you have. If it's not broke don't fix it. It's like forcing two kids who don't like each other to play with each other simply because you think it's a good idea

First of all, I love playing jav.

Second, I love playing elim.

?go javs is more fun too me than baseelim, and that's why I don't play it. I feel others feel the same way, or they'd be in baseelim instead of javs. in fact, when the "next elimination match is starting..." message flashes in go javs, less than half the ppl leave to go play it. That's not just laziness, it's just not as fun.

tourny almost always goes for the javs, just like elim always for the wbs. This is why they should be seperate, since ppl know what they're getting and choose the arena they want. They don't want to wait around (look at tourny now, how many ppl sit and wait for the damn jav tournys to end), so why would they want to wait through an elim?

When elim doesn't go to wbs, most ppl spec or harass those who actually want to play another ship. Unless someone makes a go wb that's equivalent to go javs (seems boring though, just elim w/o ppl getting spec'd) elim is a de facto wb arena.

Putting both a base for javs, an open space for wbs, and 2 bots to run simultaneous games for each is retarded. It serves no purpose besides to put even more spectators in one arena and spam the chat with even more Ez's. It wouldn't offer anything that we don't have in two seperate arenas already. I'm not trying to shit on your idea, I just don't think it really brings that much to the table.

Bottom line, if you want to jav in elim, vote for anyship and pick it.

didnt read this whole thread..... but the only problem i find is waiting when it says a game of warbird to 10 with w/e amount of people playing so i leave just add .?go javs into go elim so ppl have something to do while elims going on.

frankly, it would be cool if elim and baseelim were in the same arena... i'm pretty sure that is impossible. but if elim could happen on half the arena and baseelim on the other half.. perhaps people would play javs while waiting for the elim game to end or something. people don't like to leave the arena, trust me, they are that lazy

notice everyone that is saying it is a great idea are basers and javvers. Everything that ward and drow have said are what im thinking exactly so I will be happy to let them speak for me, and im sure for the rest of us elimmers. I think Javs over run ?go tourny during the day time CST. I only see wb tournies in the evening. Baseelim sucks btw. ?go javs please. all wbs have besides TWDD and Elim is pub. so please dont do merge the 2.

i think more people should learn how to play all leagues. so i'm in for this idea, by making the bot vote wbs then javs then wbs then javs and so on...

the only problem i see though is that there are too many people that spend 2 minutes in a ship and never want to play it again.

and for priitk's sake stop saying elim/pub is the only way to play warbirds anymore. you have twdd/wbduel/duel

either way i would love to see the 2v2 idea come along, but not make it an addon to TWEL as that should be strictly reserved to 1v1 only.

Duel is just as much for javs as it is for wb's. just because base elim is dead doesnt mean you should kill elim as well with the jav bullshit. Javs have ?go javs. put a bot in there and make it jav elim. stfu about trying to steal the only decent arena that wbs can play in without having to deal with playing javs. ty.
