Basing World Cup.

It's disappointing to see numbers have decreased greatly in TW and thus BWC sign ups also. We probably will split and/or merge different teams in order to level the playing field, we just needed to know numbers first.

Saying that, there are a few issues that will arise if we do merge a few teams.

• Merging UK + Ireland with rest of Europe? They are strong enough on their own, besides that they don't really get along well when it's in situations like these.
• Merging Rest of Europe with ROTW. I think Europe doesn't want to be labelled as 'oh those other guys' and it's sad to see many players that are capabale to sign up for this team have neglected to do so.
• Merging Finland with Europe. Finland is one of the strongest teams there is judging by its roster. Merging them with Europe will give non fins a free title, basically, if won.

• Splitting up Canada. This sounds like a good idea that has been mentioned by splitting up Canada not geographically but by school yard picking. If this is done (which is probably will) we would need 2 extremely skilled and experienced captains. I have a few in mind, you know who you are. Saying that, make sure you check your ?messages for further updates regarding this, possible Canadian captains.

I don't think we need to change Benelux, West or East U.S, or Finland.
We will do the best we can to ensure that this BWC will be less stacked, more fair and more fun.

It has been decided that Europe (non Benelux countries and non Finland) will merge with Rest of the World. It has also been decided that Canada will be split into 2 teams based on school yard pickings.

Please be aware of further changes and note what team you will currently be assigned to if changes occur to you.

it had a very good looking website (better than TWL), an easy signing-up procedure, plus simple inclusions as a download with banners for different countries. And when you won it would at least be shown somewhere on the website, which is kinda the point of a running event). THis BWC is handled very amateuristic in a few forum-topics, and once it's over will just be forgotten, which doesn't make it very appealing. Even the Benelux has a lot of ppl missing (half the Basingcrew ppl didn't bother to sign up), and those who did sign up are probably just frantics like me who are just in it to continue our winning-ways..

Meh, I don't like being in the always-complaining-about-everything aka the PH-group, but this event deserved better care..

daldur is trying his best, but i totally agree with dabram. its just a website, but it sure makes a difference.
