You guys are sympathizing for him more as a player then a staffer... And if you're allowed to come back on staff if you become an active staffer-- good, then you'll be active on staff and be doing what you should be while on staff. If not? Then they made the right decision. Yeah, I'm sure it sucks to be axed, but you didn't do shit for a long, long time. It happens.


Now, someone at least put this thread in TW staff since it's not up to the community to decide an ex-staffer's fate... And it's almost comparable to a i-just-got-banned thread. Eek.

If you're staying out of the whole staffing thing, good luck with everything else, but if you're getting back on I expect to see more good things from you.
I have confidence you probably were a good staffer, but it was quite funny reading your post when you just kept complimenting yourself.

Not sure whether that's because you want to be staff again or if it's because you have a god-complex. =P

I think its high time for some changes in staff! Many staffers are still riding on the wave of activeness that they rode into staff on, even if that wave crashed years ago. Make no mistake, seeing you removed staff saddens me Spider. At one time you were a great staffer and a great guy, unfortunately in the last couple years you've been nothing but a great guy

So although seeing some old faces removed from staff is difficult, I sense that staff may finally be on to something!

This is extremely accurate, and I sympathize with anyone trying to make staff better. I really do think I'll miss it though, because, well, you know... I liked to chat with the hommes a little. I understand I have to contribute and meet quota and when faced with being axed I am more than willing to take calls. So I hope they let me back. I'll change, I swear!

Hah Spider I think that is something you need to discuss with those who have the power to rehire you! At the same time, however, I think it would be unwise to start rehiring staffers who say they are going to "change". I forsee changes on the horizon, and those changes need to made decisively for them to be effective in the long term. What a staffer has done in the past year is much more telling than what he claims he will do in the future, I know this having been a dean in the past. I can't pass any judgement on the merit of your claims to be active in the future, but I've dealt with similar claims in the past and I have learned my lesson many times over. Call me jaded, but for staff to change new blood is in need!

That was probably the problem with the move of making both Falk and Nycle the deans. They had both quit not too long ago and then they were hired to be the deans.. dunno, I think more reliable/commited people would be better for such a position. They definately did what they could, but when more important things come up, you certainly can't blame them.

Point is, pretty much everytime you rehire a staffer that left for whatever reason, round two doesn't work out either.
