So..I know I get on staffs case when they fuck up, but the new elim is very nice ive been playing it lately and apparently so have a lot of people...saw something like 90 people in there earlier. Streaks add some flavor...now if only we could get some rankings so i could get my #1....

been more people lately now obviously the bots have something to do with it, but when is the last time youve seen the gates open?

A lot more elim activity these days with the bot streaks and such, definitely waiting on a ranking system to be the icing on the cake.

Baseelim2 has also been getting a lot more attention these days, although I dunno whether moving it back to original baseelim would be a good idea? It feels a lot more cramped in belim2, but that's just me.

Back on elim, yeah, it's doing well now, maybe you're only slightly right stark, I do think generally people have been playing elim more though =)

We'll get a ranking system once a coder knows how it's gonna be built. How ratings etc will be count.

Also I might ask him to make it so only 1 person per computer may be in the rankings at a time, so people won't be aliasing their asses off.

I do not see why aliassing would be a bad thing in this instance... It has always brought more people to baseelim/elim and it always makes people try harder. Why would you care if a person played 10 consecutive elims on 3 different names just because he tries to get a good start to continue his ranking. Rankers have always been hunted when their score gets to good, it's a natural process.
If you can tell me what is bad about aliassing and why it has such a negative effect on (b)elims, then you should maybe implement such a system. Still I bet I could name a better reason not to do it for every reason you think there should be a system preventing aliases....

In ?go duel I understand why there is used such a system, in twd I understand in all those things I understand... But in elim en tourny events it's just stupid to use it. And why not use the old rating system they used to use... 500 kills + deaths combined gets you ranked... and rating is: Avg killed rating * kills / deaths... It's quite a simple rating and it's quite effective imo.
It's an easy rating system which has close to none flaws.... This way if you have 2 people with 1000 rating duel each other, they will not drop hard because going 1:1 in such a situation is what is expected at that point... while if you have 1000 rating and another guy has only 200... you should go 5:1 vs him because that is around how much worse he is then you.

P.S. You better listen to me because I'm GOD of baseelim and elim is just for boring stupid people that have no idea of what is fun.

True, it has been a long ass time since I've seen that.


It seems like the bot does zoners more often, too... though that could just be because people are actually playing elim, not just like 6 afk people sitting in there.

I wouldn't mind seeing elim based on a !register system too, so the rankings aren't as skewed with virtual nobodies scoring the top 10 spots.

you need to add bigger streaks to the elfbot, because it only goes up to 8-0 saying "player" is owning! (8-0) but thats way too easy to get...

i was 12-0 and 16-0 and there are no streak announcements for those... make it up to 20-0 at least and it will be fun to do, otherwise whats the point cuz 8-0 is so easy



also we need STATS recorded for rank! fix all of that and elim will be all good
