I don't know but I for one find basing events boring as fuk, I only like to shark where I can mine like a fuk. It doesn't compare to an ?go base game and never will. People don't take it seriously and when it's more then 8 players it seems even worse because of the lag.

After re-reading my post I realize I wasn't as clear as I could have been. I don't think it's right to take down go base for a prolonged period of time. Essentially the arena was meant for TWD Basers to practice with the standards in place. Being an associated league arena it shouldn't be manipulated in the way HMS has originally suggested. I do, however, find that the way in which ?go base can run for hours with little time inbetween games distracts players from other events and league play that can make them better players as well as better basers. Encouraging players to master other arenas besides ?go base brings the zone together at a higher level.

More players will always mean more lag but if anything, it gives those seeking to better themselves an oppurtunity to master a crucial aspect of this game: lag. Playing with laggots is very challenging and frustrating at times but learning how to adapt to lag is an essential skill. I'd suggest a simple bot command that temporarilly disallows anyone to start a new game so that more attention can be drawn to the base event being hosted. After the event is finished ?go base should resume play as normal.

While this may infringe upon the choice of the player to play as he/she wishes, it encourages them to seek out other arenas that will ultimately make basing more fun for them all together. I don't think interrupting go base for one basing event is such a bad thing. Even if the people playing go base don't want to base with a lot of people, they can enjoy a different arena for a while until go base resumes.

Why don't you use the Zone Objectives? I made them on the players behalf so this zone could take some direction. I know 'competitiveness' is at the bottom of the list but maybe if they were revised and USED silly ideas might not be made.

your only saying this because your a newbie and suck. i have alias'd, begged to play, do really good, then kept getting picked. if you suck, no wonder they will bench you.

next point is, why friday? why not tuesday? dont more people come on on friday-sunday? for alot of people, or maybe not, but for me, i only come on to really play go base. if my squad twd's then ill do that but if we aren't i look to play go base. hosted events are boring, full of newbs, and full of lag. its not fun, and you get nothing out of it.

the pub thing i also agree with. why change pubs every weekend? what if a newb comes on, tries the game, gets good 1 weekend, the next weekend when they are able to come on, everything has changed? bad idea for trying to attract new players.

ps, random question.. how we attracting new players anyways? word of mouth or advertisment? lol probably a stupid suggestion but i really have no clue other than having your friends try it

I always fought against forcing players to play what some of the staffers

As former head of ECT, I just gotta put my 2 cents in:

1.) Need better <ER>'s that will host fun games. Fun as in, people enjoying the game and the host getting involved in the game. The host should always be playing or so bored that they will be spamming arena messages. A host should NEVER be AFK during an event.

2.) Get rid of quotas as they do nothing but force people to host crappy games that take less time and etc... Yes we got events, no we don't have any originality (except a few exceptions)

3.) Inspire people to play PUB so other players can get involved. The reason TW is dying is due to the lack of any new players really getting in the game. Before, as a newbie (long ago), vets would own newbies constantly, and newbies would get to know the vets. Now no one even knows how good you are unless you pop in a tape from TWL SEASON 6: HIGHLIGHTS

4.) Using common sense, which I have to say, almost every one is lacking today. Closing down ?go base is not the key. Hosting an event that will cause small businesses such as ?go base to die, that is key. Force them to play your events by making it so appealing that they will want to take their underwear off and hang it around their forehead in a desperate attempt for attention. Before when I was a newbie, I actually enjoyed events because they were actually fun!

5.) Did you know the internet watches you when you sleep? It's true.

A while ago they turned off tourny (which already only is turned on during the weekends) for some stupid event.

Tourny is about the only thing I still play, apart from squad games. So I was pretty disappointed. So I went offline and and didn't play for 3 weeks.

i didnt bother reading the post cus after i saw shut down go base on fridays i laughed, why shut it down and make good basers play with pub noobs? why mix that combo? i mean we already have dice members playing in go base its bad enough.
