Could be the time of day, the event you're trying to host, or.. Some people might not like you. I know a few people that won't go to events that are hosted by people they dislike. Try hosting an overrated event like Bug or a zombie event.

Usually I go to events for comic relief, and reactions, this morning though, I've been trolling the forums.

Granted I haven't had the time to log on in the past week, week and a half due to IRL stuff, but from the way people are posting in the topic it doesn't seem like the constructive fixes that looked like were starting to gain speed in terms of pub have faltered or stopped.

The pure pub bot keeps breaking down, is that's whats going on? Can we please get someone to fix it then?

The bots problems over the past few days should be fixed from what I was told. Moot is no longer working on Publics and I would like to get someone to focus on that, if anyone has some ideas let me know.

I'm not saying we should have ship upgrading, TW isn't that kind of zone. BUT it might be a solution to highly powered weapons like Levi Bombs (Level 3 Bombs). A Distension like-bot solution might be able to do that. The end result being there being no need to restrict Levis, Timer Pub or Pure Pub.

Edit: I can switch up Pure Public to Public 0 and see how that works out, neither is the default for players but people generally filter into Pub 0 regardless. If the population splits to Pub 1/2 then it could be a strong indicator that Levis and Lev Terring are wanted. It does take a lot of team work to Levi Terr also so we shouldn't forget that, even if they're not compatible with Basing.

I don't even remember when I saw an ER last time host a game, Why has that been reduced?

I've been seeing MODs host lately. There are events, they're just not that fun anymore. It's always the same thing. Zombies, DM, and Jav events. All of which are overrated.

There's no limit on when or how many events an ER can host Soilderz except during TWL. Qan ruled out moving Distension to another zone. It's limited to about 4 hours a day so I think you guys are exaggerating the effect it can have on the zone's other arenas. I don't have a lot of fun in Distension myself but I can see how it brings people to the zone, people I know would have quit the game by now (they told me themselves). As far as I'm concerned that's +1 for us, regardless of where they go to play. We're also in the middle of a TWL season so get a feel for things population wise out of it.

If you put distension in another zone, and current players go to that zone... isn't that likely to make TW less active? Doesn't that completely defeat your purpose of making TW more active?

It just seems that people are jealous that others are having fun, because they're not.

But I do see what you guys mean, distension is quite zone-like... but IMO it's just a huge well-organised event which has just as much right to exist as anything else.

Yea, thats real smart. I'm not bashing dist, seeing as I play it and enjoy it, but giving it it's own zone would probably bring TW to an end except for those hardcore pubbers. Two times a day, for ~2 hours at a time, 50 or so people are in distension arena. Yes, I said 50. How are that few people gonna kill Trench Wars? The rest of the people are in pub, javs, elim, base, and various bd/jd/dd/sd's.

I don't see why people give so much of a damn about distension. I don't enjoy playing it, therefore I just don't play it. It's a successful event, so people must be enjoying it a lot - I can't see how you can criticize that. In fact I think it should be applauded.

For those saying it's killing pub or such, I think most of the people playing it wouldn't go to pub when distension is over anyway. That's more of a clue that pub should be improved rather than removing distension or whatever.

I'm not pro or anti-distension really, so I'm happy to see arguments either way.
