Paid entry tournament - In the Works

This is how I'd wanna see it go down...

Take the field and play them in ?go tourny. The arena is already set up to prevent flagrant lag abuse in some cases as well as spawn protection. I also know there is a maximum of 64 players 1v1 or 64 teams of 2 able to play per round. This being said, if there are more than 64 entrants, we'll have to split the field into an even two or more "heats". The winners from the heats will fight each other in the Grand Finale.

The entry fee should be no more than $5 over PayPal.

The Lag Situation is probably the most touchy subject. I can go "Nobody over x amount of ping" and people will riot about being blocked out. Is it fair? Not exactly to the people who can't play, but the ones in, yes. That's one idea on the table. I don't know how paypal works, but I don't think we can open this up to people outside the United States anyways unless Paypal converts currency without penalty.

Summary for the Lazy:
Tournament in ?go Tourny
If more than 64 entrants, there will be multiple mini-tournys
Possible Lag Cap for all entrants
Possible country restriction to the United States Only

I think it should be possible to include other countries as long as lag is controled. Paypal charges people like 2.5% conversion costs, so people outside of US will have to pay like $5.08 instead of $5 just for paypal fees. I would cover this personally if there was a logical way for me to remove the charge when you donate the $5. I need to look into more about it though, I could be understanding it wrong.

I believe paypal can work fine with foreign currencies. Everybody just needs to pay $5, paypal will do the rest (conversion to your local currency).
All Lance (or whoever is going to control the money) is make a paypal link or button that charges you $5.

Well, my paypal is fked, i did some shit so i need to do some steps to get my account to get back to normal , one of the steps is adding a bank account, but there is no way bcz im brazilian and they dont accept brazilian banks ROFL and they want me to add a bank account no matter what wtf. emailed them and etc 328972348947 times they dont do nothing...so fuck paypal.Is there any other way i can pay??

It's possible to work around it, we just have to look into it.

Only problem with that is if someone slightly spikes over then it would be a problem. Say they usually have a solid 120ms(which isn't really bad) and every once in awhile it spikes up barely, it's kind of unfair for them. And not everyone can get a perfect connection.

and noone is forced to pay either. If you make a rule for clean lag, thats just the way it is.
