Should elim and baseelim become one again?

If you think you can do better, you can always show it. Download eclipse, install TWCore and start programming. Nobody is stopping you.

You probably can't program so for your information; TW Bot dev (responsible for fixing the elim bots) has been dealing with inactivity and the active people didn't always have the time to spend on the things they knew they would only get crap for. Because of this, nobody worked on the elim bots for a while.

With the help of an interested individual (Lockdown) who was trying to help I managed to solve the rankings problem. So instead of just whining about nothing happening and just general complaining about staff, try to do something yourself for a change.

If the two freeplay areas (in elim and baseelim) are a good substitute for ?go javs, I'd say we can lock ?go javs and tell people to go to either ?go elim or ?go baseelim.

Stfu and leave go javs alone, the freeplay areas are useless and so is !rec. I have 49k kills in go javs and the belimbot says that I have like -33k rofl.

point taken, had i known this 5 years ago or so when people were working on twl bots (which still arent fixed) 1.5 years ago when robo died (still not a replacement fixed) i would've done something when i actually had the time.

lockdown isnt the only one who has offered his help. i believe this would have been fixed several months ago if there were some capable programmers who have actually played elim before and knew that the arena is a big part of the zone with 5/6 of the population playing there daily. and yes, i talk about baseelim too.

People didn't even play the freeplay, that makes it useless and go javs is more fun anyways. If the scores were fixed then I might be more willing to play belim but there is still all those idiots that vote to 1 when there are 10 people in and vote for boring ships like shark/terr/weasel.

no, seperate. I stopped playing tourny due to never being able to wb. Jav games take about 2-3x longer. So waiting to finally play a wb game took forever.

Pretty sure noone means voting on playing either jav or wb like it use to be, they mean both being able to play at the same time, on different parts at the same time.

Yea, the math for the ranking seems to be ok now, however you/someone didnt reset the database for the rankings when it was switched from 500 k:d to 300 k:d, so now there are a bunch of ties. Is it really that hard to just completely reset it? ITs been like this for MONTHS, Im no programmer, but is it really that hard to just completely reset the damn thing?

You're right, I didn't make my intention clear in the post. What I wanted to say was, why would you quit playing something just because you can't rank? Ranking just adds another layer to something you should already find enjoyable. If the ranking system's screwed and you don't want to have a part of a game because of that, you probably shouldn't be playing in the first place.

If the rankings problem is solved then can you reset the stats because everyones ratings are still messed up due to the previous rankings problem.

What I wanted to say was, why would you quit playing something just because you can't rank?

It's not that people quit but some (like me) do play a lot less which in turns makes others play less since there are less people to play with and it turns into a snowball effect.
