Excuse me mr. troll but the euro community does not whine, and i respect the many of them who don't. Even though I am Texan, I still would invest in lowering the lag for the many players who respect the game and appreciate what they have, and the ones who DESERVE TO PLAY

So wait, you're from Texas but you want to pay some of your own money just so Europeans can play on their own server? How much money are you willing to fork out for something you don't need and doesn't affect you? $15,000? If so, send some of that shit my way - you can call it an investment.

Game would not last as long as investing 60$ a month to host a sever to owe up to 15 grand over the years. :-P

Seriously, US people have 10-30ms , euro's have 120ms on average

I really don't care, it's alright and we still kick US ass!!

Not really. Unless you don't understand Washington state and Washington DC are two different places. It's really only about a 150-200 mile difference from New York to Europe and DC to Europe.

This idea would just spread out our small population even thinner.

The server costs more than that.

The main tw server costs hundreds and hundreds a month because of the bandwidth we eat. that's not new. A small server with 50 people on all the time would cost alittle less than 100 dollars a month.

I did a trace / IP location search and found out that it only took 4 hops to reach new york...

then 7 more useless hops just to reach d.c.

Says alot to move to new york. Less Hops, no hopone.net, no packetless.

T.W. Has 11 hops, yet when it hits the hopone stage it does freeze up considerably on the cycle. The zones that tresmius suggested had no pause in the cycle run, even though it has 3 more hops than tw. It's not the hop number that counts in this case, it's the time it takes for each hop IP to let your data pass from one to the next. The following IP's pause:

                      Code:

                      8 67.14.6.142 dca-edge-18.inet.qwest.net 96.0 50 50 50
                      9 209.160.62.134 ge4-2.core2.dca2.hopone.net 96.0 50 50 50
                      10 66.36.224.245 vl3.msfc1.distb2.dca2.hopone.net 96.0 50 50 50

Oh and the last Hop reached Salt Lake City, Utah, so I'm guessing the server is there?

If you want to invest, what about you rent a dedicated optic fiber to link current server location with your favorite country in europe? I hope you are very greedy and everyone will be happy.

Well honestly I don't know if you can ask your server service provider to have set routers or what not to do these kinds of things.

                          If you can, sure

Let's all just host our own servers on our own pc's. That way nobody will ever lag! Genius!

This "freezing" occurs because the built-in trace program waits for a reply and only moves forward after a time out when it does not get a reply. This does not affect the actual forwarding of packets in any way. It is not a problem if the said routers are configured not to reply to your ICMP queries.

Anyway, this separate "europub" is not very feasible. First of all it would spread our small population over two servers. Secondly, you would need someone to pay for it. Thirdly, the current latency to the server is fine.

Okay when do you guys understand that our population consists of now like 90% over americans?

Do you realize that all our euros left us? This is for euros, so if anything this would not be seperating "us" it would be adding on to us in another sector.

Why would americans hop to the other sector? it'd be just like how euros are feeling our american pubs now, with all the lag, bs and chaos.
