As much as it takes a bad decision to drink and drive, the same principal adheres to getting into a car with someone who is drunk. There's always an inherent risk (obviously) of getting into a car with someone who's intoxicated. And you can cast the blame all you want on the driver, because God knows she feels worse about herself for taking the life because she made some stupid fucking decision while she was drunk (who would have thought alcohol impairs one's cognitive decisions?) then you feel about her taking it.

Good points, bro. Believe me, I wasn't trying to insinuate that she needed to die too. I was curious if she did, is all. However, I do strongly feel she should be behind bars for a very long time. I believe Epi stated that it was a few years. Seriously? Joe isn't coming back in a "few" years, so why is that killer? Only to go and kill someone else by driving drunk? Seriously, Joe had his whole life infront of him and what happened is totally fucked.

That bitch deserves 50 to life. Nothing less.

Thanks for the info, Burnt. Well, that definitely changes my opinion to a certain degree. My buddy Joey used bad judgement there

Getting into a car with an idiot who was piss drunk is way too dangerous and he should have known better than that.

          Awww Joey :crying:

il give my 2 cents in.

i played many dds against joe, which mostly ended up in arguments, arguably because of my huge ego at the time. i dont take it back, i think thats what created history between me and him. another guy who i loved talking shit to, in all good fun.

I am sure he wont be reading this in heaven, or hell, wherever he ended up, but i do feel the need to say rest in peace. the tragedy in itself is horrible, but i do believe in justice, and i think the girl with him shouldnt take all the punishment. as much as i hate to see a life go to waste, on joes part, i cannot support the decision to ruin another.

this is a very easy scenario to predict, obviously both of them being drunk and irresponsible. im sure the girl was somewhat cute, and joe liked her, thus why he ended up in the car with her. man was trying to get laid.

funny thing is, this can happen to all of us at any occasion during 4 years of college, highschool even...i really dont want to jynx myself, knock on wood, but i have been driving drunk, or was driven by someone tipsy or worse, and i hate to admit that i had no problem with it at the time. however, if a tragedy should happen, thats where regrets come in...

the girl truly is sorry, and she knows it would look bad if she actually thought about the whole truth, and telling the court it was both of their fault, because i would hesitate as well...it just sucks that a tragedy like this not only ruined joes life, or her life, but also each of their familys lives as well...

life comes at you fast, like it or not, and thats a reality all of us have to face at one point or another...

with that said, i truly wish you peace joe, and trench wars will sure miss u.

Lessons learned should include that they were both underage drinking at the time. Even after taking a life and screwing up several others, this girl fails the court ordered breathalyzer while out of jail and awaiting trial! And they cut a deal for 30 months?

                Michigan state laws for DUI First offense is as follws;
                - OWI/OWVI/OWPD/DWLS causing death/serious injury (felony)
Up to 15 years imprisonment OR $2,500 to $10,000 fine, or both.
Driver license denial/revocation for a minimum of one year.
                License plate confiscation.
Vehicle immobilization up to 180 days unless forfeited.
                Possible vehicle forfeiture.
$1,000 Driver Responsibility Fee for two consecutive years.
So in other words, she can apply for another drivers license at some point when she gets out. How do these lawyers sleep at night? Do they not think about this when they load their families into a car?

From what I heard 2nd hand of the situation I believe that girl was seeing Joe (romantically).

And what you said Ephemeral is correct, she failed a breathlyzer one morning....

That screenshot shows just how talented he was at this game. We lack players like joe in this game, it's not often players can put up 21 kills in a twl game. You'll never be forgotten joe, R.I.P.

If I recall correctly, I believe it was season 10 and Dice won that game. No fault of Joe's, though. He did more than his part. Like he always did.

Epi, didn't Joe have a monster game versus Light in the playoffs in TWLJ? I believe that was Light's first year. And that Light's jav team was very good. He had close to 18 kills himself.

Well said Jack. I can appreciate the scope you are looking at this with.

For anyone who actually does want to know if this girl is feeling sorry ..

What she did was wrong. I have had family members hit by drunk drivers. My mom even went to the hospital once because she was hit by a drunk driver. This girl is definitely being punished whether she ends up in jail for 30 months or 15 years. It really doesn't matter if she doesn't get a longer sentence because I know for sure she is dealing with so much internally because of this. I've been to jail, and it was only for 10 days--Let me tell you from first hand experience..she's being punished. However, in my opinion they should definitely make her give talks as community service for a while about driving drunk and what she has done. She should have to share her story. That way she won't forget too easily and it will be productive. Jail is very unproductive and she is not an actual violent person.

                                With love, Joe, and all..
