New feature to detect new players

I've been thinking how to check for new players in real-time. The hard part was to filter aliasers, it will never be 100% accurate but at least, it seems to work fine. In 15 minutes, 2 "not aliased" players logged on, 1 was really new and the other was back from a long inactivity. Maybe in the future, we could have a special chat like ?chat=newplayers with a bot alerting for new players. What you think ?

The list refresh every 2 minutes.

P.S: The green dot means that the player is not aliased, which is what we want.

P.S.S: New players sometimes create more than 1 name because they didn't like their first.. the second one won't have a green dot. So you may have to check for players without a green dot too if you are looking to help new players.

thanks to this web site I found "sticky green" named player, turns out to be an okay guy and learns fast!

it's like having a baby. seeing him learn to thrust, get his first elim kill. makes my heart fill with joy. <3 got to play a couple of eliminations and learnt most of the basic commands (through repetation, repetation..) fast. absorbs information like a sponge!

.. while writing this, he has hit ESC+Q. hope he returns! he could be the next banzi, pro moves.

If this is even reasonably effective at detecting new players to the game then this could be a really powerful tool. Nice job Arobas

I posted a thread about continuum on kongregate last night, I just bumped it during a more peak hour and its already got some views, trying to see if we have anyone check out the game in the next 5-10 minutes or so.. this is great because we can see if some of the stuff we do trying to promote the game is working.
