In case you have not noticed, Trenchwars.org now has a new tab for donations. With this new system now in place and fully operational you can donate your spare cash to the game that has served you faithfully for the past 14 years to help keep it alive.
When you donate, you have the choice on how you want it to be spent. You can choose between Cash Events much like the ones FieryFire has been sponsoring. The more people donate for cash events, the more we can offer as rewards. You can also choose Advertising in which the money will be spent on well....Advertising. You could also choose to Donate to Charity. We will have a different charity featured each week. This week it is the Make-A-Wish Foundation. You could even choose your own charity, and every cent of what you donate will be sent to whichever charity you choose. If you cannot choose or do not care how your money gets spent you can choose the final option; Choose For Me.
Each donation, no matter how small or how large will be rewarded with "Pub Bucks". There is a table providing you with the layout on what your return will be, but for those of you too lazy to check, I will post it here.
Cash Multiplier
$1 - 4 1000
$5 - 9 1100
$10 - 14 1200
$15 - 19 1300
$20 - 24 1400
$25 - 29 1500
$30 - 34 1600
$35 - 39 1700
$40 - 44 1800
$45 - 49 1900
$50 - 54 2000
etc... Got it?
For example, donating $5 USD would have a multiplier of 1100, therefore rewarding you with $5,500 pub bucks. A donation of $100 USD would give you a return of $300,000 pub bucks. I think you get the idea. Important: After your donation, you will be redirected to a page which contains a code that you will need to redeem to receive your pub bucks. It will be 10-15 digits long containing letters and numbers. To claim your prize, highlight that code and copy it, then proceed to Trenchwars and PM TWPub1 with !coupon <your code>. If that wasn't clear enough, do :TWPub1:!coupon JEHD672GBH89 (With your own code of course).
Also, we have a TWD medal for the players that donate anything from $5 USD on up. That scale is as follows....
$5 - $9 USD - Blue Medal
$10 - $24 - Red Medal
$25 - $49 - Green Medal
$50 - $99 - Silver Medal
$100 and up - Gold medal
The amount you donate will accumulate, so you need not to donate $100 at a time to receive the gold medal. As your amount increases over time, your medal will change accordingly. These medals will appear on the TWD Website on the players profile, as well as next to their name on squad rosters, just like the TWL medals.
There is also a list to recognize those who have given their hard earned money which can be found here: http://www.trenchwars.org/donationsoverview/ . If you do not want to be recognized for your charity you can always donate anonymously. Doing so will simply keep your name private, but you will still receive your reward of pub bucks.
Special thanks to 24 for the conception of this idea. He will also be the man in charge of handling the funds. Should he chose to get run over by a bus or dive into a pool full of needles and kill himself, his backup will be Zazu. If you have any questions about donating to TW or anything specific regarding this new concept, feel free to find or ?message either of those players, or just talk to me in pub. You could always use ?help as well, but as your average player, I would advise against it, as you are likely not to get much of a useful response.
Note: All transactions are handled through paypal and are 100% secure.
