Changes to the forums

I have been tweaking a few things trying to find out how to deal with the spammers.

I enabled a captcha on registered accounts, to slow these noob down. I am unaware how it will affect all players in a day-to-day basis. If there is a backlash to this, I can easily remove it.

I have also increased the limit of PM's to 100 instead of 70. as well you can now send a mass pm to up to 50 people (This should make Mafia moderators happy). Do not abuse this system or I Will change it back.

That was created just before the captcha was installed. (the account not the thread)

we need to re-enable the forumbot within the game that maverick had setup. stop the spambots from registering an account in the first place. a per post captcha is just not practical.

We are deleting 5-8 threads and bans a day atm.

I will be talking to Spacehiker to see if we can do forumbot again.

it was ok at first, but the floodgates have been bursted through and a horde of spam bots have been constantly attacking our forums morning, noon, and night. You don't see a majority of the shit we have been deleting and banning for your viewing pleasure, but the fact of the matter is this could be solved immediately with a bot that can take care of spam bots at registration.
