Old pub back?

I don't want to be rude to anyone, but I think the poll speaks for itself: 14 ppl would love to play the old pub while only 4 want new one. I know there is a new map being developed and new settings (pub teams, rpg style rewards etc.) but would still be awesome to play the old pub once in a while. Maybe host it first a couple of times to see how many ppl would play it, then make it a 1-2 hour old pub arena so the ppl can see what we started in. Would be fun, if nothing less.

You're right, the poll does speak for itself -- it wasn't interesting enough to get more than 18 people to come and vote on it.

18 people voting on something is hardly a proper sampling for anyone trying to what you are doing whether it is for this or for a business or whatever it may be. 18 people?!!?!? If this were HZ that may be a good sampling because they have 50 people total. We have way too diverse of a zone to just take a small sample like this and call it good.

For the record -- I don't care either way although I voted for new one. Both maps are fun and kick ass for their own reasons IMO.

Should go into the pub and ask the pubbers how they feel in addition to the forum. I'd be willing to help take a sampling in pub sometime!

well i'm glad you responded in a more rational manner and i guess i over reacted too :P

anyhow i'm not a vet and i've never liked the elitism of ppl criticizing those playing pub / ?go base as it's for newbs etc they only play TWD or even just TWL. Unfortunately i've seen a drastic decline in activity during euro hours and ?go base was often not running at all or ?go javs and with the changes pub wasn't fun for me at all with an entire philosophy shift from everyone is equal to ?buy advantage / money system. others dont see it this way i do, i could go into reasons why but i've allready detracted enough from teh point of this thread.

but to answer your second post about the maps, these changes where before my time and i've less of a problem with a map change than a settings/game dynamic change. But i like the idea of continuity through the game and that the ship settings map are the same throughout the game, That way brand new pub players can watch a TWLB final and recognise the map etc and feel more involved themselves.
